My mom is getting rid of her cinnamon broom 'cuz it's falling apart, and i was wondering, would it be safe to give it to a bun? i wasn't quite sure, but i thought if they liked willow and such, that maybe..........

so what do ya think, safe or no?

I have one too and have wondered the same thing. Mine is probably about 5 months old and has lost almost all of its scent, though it did a wonderful job in my laundry room.

Mom got hers LAST year, i don't think it smells any more and i thought "what a great way to reuse it and get some more use out of it!"

I think mine came from Dollar General. It was the one and only time I ever saw them. Pretty cool, really.

I don't know, I would be worried about them eating whatever it is they used to scent it with. Although, mabye it would make the poos smell sweeter, LOL.

Oh those smell wonderful! I always walked past them at Publix, but I never bought one, although I thought about it.

I don't think I would give it to my bunny though... The stuff I give her to chew is always untreated, and they must do something to the broom to get it to smell, even if the scent has worn off.

Umm...what's a cinnamon broom??

:embarrassed:

A cinnamon broom is a decorative "broom" (not for sweeping ;)) that has been treated (some are treated with oils) so that they smell like cinnamon. Like potpourri but they usually have a stronger scent that lasts longer.

Around here they usually start popping up in stores in Autumn. They do smell awesome and they really can make a room pleasantly fragrant!

Here are a couple of examples:
