Ears, my blue tort Velveteen Lop buck, was killed over a year ago by my neighbors dogs(she never fed them enough so they found alternative food source) Trust me some of her dogs never came back, of coarse they never went home either. After one cornered me one day(Saint Bernard mind ya) we stopped using the bb gun and used the 22, or my 257,instead. I had been trying to replace him so I had a pair to start showing.

But last weekend, I had to finally put Cater (Black Velveteen Lop doe) to rest. 3/28/2009, she was almost 3. She had developed Wry neck and wasn't pulling out of it or getting better with antibiotics. Gretchen and I did everything we could to help her. She was the only velveteen around here that I can find.

If anyone knows where I can pick up a pair of Velveteen lops again, I would greatly appreciate the knowledge. Despite their size, That I had bought them for my sister(and she movedunable to take them with her)and everything I loved them. They aren't a recognized breed yet, but I still loved them.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

We are so sorry for your losses. It's so hard when you try everything and still lose them to wry neck. We had to have Commodore Stockton put down as he just got worse and worse and started crying out all the time--he was such a beautiful little Chinchilla Mini Rex. Mr. B also got it, but he went on his own the second day of treatment--he was over ten, so it was probably time. It's never easy losing a fur-baby.:bunnyangel2:

So very sorry to hear of your loss...Binky-free at the Rainbow Bridge, little one.
