I miss Carolyn. What a dynamo of energy. How she ever managed everything by herself is beyond me.

This was in the Welcome thread, but it's worth a home or its own. How she managed is beyond us, too!

We have four Administrators, four Senior Mods, fourteen regular Mods (and we're adding at least two more) and another half-dozen 'Maintenance Mods' and we STILL can't match Carolyn.

And it's not because the forum isbigger, now. The posts are split into categories, but the volume isn't far off what it waswhen she was handling it all by herself.

She managed to respond to every query, every sick bunny, every post from every friend and take care of every problem.

She'd reach out with compassion and humor and make everybody'sworld a better place that day. And she was gainfully employed with a REAL full time job to boot!

The respectand fondness for this woman behind the scenes is evenmore profound.

So Carolyn, thanks formaking RO such an awesome forum, andthanksfor beingyou!:hugsquish:

Oh Goodness, take this thread down, Pipp!!

I don't deserve to have a full thread.

I'm no different from anyone else here. You could say all these things about every one. It's unfair to those that give so much.

I do appreciate it and thank you sincerely, but please please take it down.

Carolyn

Your generous heart and love for bunnies and their people comes through in every post. RO has been blessed with your presence :pink iris:

RO is lucky to have each and every member it does. m.e., please talk Pipp into deleting this. I really don't feel I should be targeted or appreciated any more than everyone here.

Everyone's so very valued and appreciated. Everyone gives of their heart as I have, but they do it even more than I do.

Please - take this one out. It is very kind, but it's truly not deserved.

With love and a great deal of appreciation.

Carolyn,

I'll never forget the day I "lost it" with Tiny because he'd hurt another bunny (while protecting himself) and you called me and talked to me. You really helped me ~ and in the novel I'm writing there is a situation like that where one person sits the other one down and says, "You've got to get yourself under control....you're putting your rabbit's life at risk.."....just like you did to me.

You went above and beyond the normal thoughts of being a moderator....you really did. As one of the mods on here - I so often get burned out and need a break - but you consistently watched over the forum.

I think you deserve ALL of the praise that was said....

Carolyn, that right there ^^ is what makes you so special. You aren't the kind of person who lets the praise or power of being a mod go to their head. You find the best in everyone and refuse to say that you are ever betterthan anyone else.

I know you are embarrassed by this thread so I wont say more,;) but I wanted to let you know that you are one of the sweetest people I know and have such a kind heart. Never change.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Carolyn, you were, and have remained, the reason why I'm even here.

You and Buck welcomed me with open arms, and made me feel more that just another member.

You supported me on a daily basis and stepped up even closer when I was in need.

You helped me through bunnie issues, and (more importantly) the personal ones.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't find myself refecting on the memories that you and I forged.

My deepest heartfelt thanks sent to you for you being here.

Days like this, I REALLY appreciate Carolyn.

I'm sitting here in awe... how did she do it?

head_hurts_kr.gif

Do you want me to show you how to beat up on little children?! ;)

I don't know how you do it sometimes. Not the busy stuff but just the..... attitude?

Carolyn is a SAINT... all the "stuff" she put up with, and all by herself... my heartfelt appreciate and thanks to her for all her dedication, consideration and love. :bunnydance:
:hugsquish::blueribbon:

Aww, Pipp and BG, :hugsquish:

I can assure you, I am no saint! I don't see it as I did it "alone", I had the help of many great people. :)

Pipp, I can appreciate how things get. Take a break when you need it and let me tell you, I got by with "a little (rather A Lot)help from my friends." When the burden gets too much, step away. Also just know that you can't please everyone - no matter how hard you try.

You're doing a great job here - so don't worry if you have your days. It's bound to happen, but it's then that you have to be extra gentle with yourself and contact those that feed your soul.

You have done a phenomenal job here, so don't question your abilities. You are very much appreciated and loved in this forum.

Much Love,

Carolyn

.....can I "ditto" ;) my own post?

:tears2: God, you guys melt me. I'm near tears.

:big kiss::big kiss::big kiss:

I can't tell you how deeply grateful I am.

Such beautiful sentiments coming from such generous, special, smart, lovingpeople is more than I ever expected or deserved. Without you folks, I would've never have been able to do what we did to keep the forum going - NO QUESTION!!

Thank you sincerely. It humbles me and makes me remember how much fun, tears, and laughter we shared through the years.

Each of you, individually, have had such a great impact on my life. You have so much love in your heart and so much patience and kindness that my faith in humanity was never lost because I could always find good people here.

I don't know how to properly thank you - I can only tell you that you each hold a place in my heart that, like my rabbits, is reserved only for you. You helped me get through the hardest chapter of my life - losing Buck - and I know that I can call upon any of you at any given moment. Please remember that the same goes for you. I'm only a 'click' away. You remain in my heart always.

This thread should be named for this board because it's proof that you all possess the qualities you and quality that you have 'accused' me of. I shall say a special prayer of Gratitute and Happiness and Health for you and your special families and charges.

Much Much Love,

Carolyn
