hello!

So Odyssey's got a bit of sore hocks, and I want to take all the preventive measures I can so it doesn't get worse.
I currently use All Living Things paper bedding on top of Yesterday's News pellets so it'll make it softer, but it's getting really expensive (YN is $25 and ALT is $35)
Due to this I bought woodstove pellets which I'm going to start using once the YN is done.
Thing is, I'm almost out of paper bedding, so I was wondering- is paper bedding like carefresh/kaytee c&c/etc better or aspen shavings?

Paper pulp bedding will be softer. But if you layer soft grass hay over the pelleted bedding, that will work just as well as the paper bedding and is usually cheaper. If you can find the hay by the bale as good quality horse hay, then it's usually the cheapest option.

Okay thank you!
My parents don't allow me to put hay in the litterbox since even though we get it from a farm it's still expensive. :(
I'll just go with the carefresh then!
