Hello fellow bunny lovers!
my little bun is turning 3 this Friday so I am making her some extra goodies and was wondering if a cranberry hibiscus and roses are safe for her to eat and if the whole thing is edible or just the petals?
Thanks!

https://www.feedipedia.orgReports on hibiscus: "The young branches and leaves eaten by goats. " Goats are ruminants, rabbits are not. That said, the bacteria in the cecum work in similar fashion to those in the rumen.

"This rose is a very useful addition to any edible garden or in a fodder forage hedgerow. Sheep, goats and cattle love this sweet-smelling plant and will happily ‘contain’ it for you. " Again ruminants. For humans, only the petals and fruit are edible. The rose hips are very rich in vitamin C.

Hi, is she 3 years or 3 months? :)

Not only is rose safe, it's really easy to digest and good to have when the rabbit for whatever reason doesn't eat much.
I feed the flowers from my garden as treats when they start to wilt, it can take some time and tries the first times since rabbits normally don't dig into new stuff, but take a test nibble and wait if it has any adverse effects, some more the next day and so on.
If not used to greens start slowly anyway.

No store bought flowers though, they can be loaded with chemicals and pesticides.
