I got some pressed timothy hay blocks for Foo before she passed and I have this whole bag of them. They're ONLY timothy. Ellie already eats mostly timothy hay, so could she have like one of them as a treat? I can't give her anything as a treat yet, other than a different hay. I feel like she would like the little block to have. Would it be okay for her to eat?

This is not her only hay source. She gets timothy, coastal and alfalfa hay everyday, unlimited. These would just be a treat. Are they okay?

All those hay cubes are is pressed hay. Like pellets without added vitamins(and the other crap they put in regular pellets!). It would probably make a fun thing for her to chew on.

yeah, they're not as good for the teeth as regular hay, but nutritionally they're the exact same thing :)

I actually got these at walmart. They're in the small animal isle with all the other junk for little animals. Just make sure what you get is ONLY timothy hay.

The ones I got today are by Kaytee. I got them at the pet store. They had fun trying to break it apart/eat it. I think it's a fun little toy they can have as a treat, stimulating and healthy.

She gets Sherwood forest pellets daily, along with different hays. I know that she needs long strand indigestible fiber to push everything through. The short strands in the hay blocks aren't going to give her the fiber she needs, I understand that.
These hay blocks are just a treat. ON TOP OF her regular pellet and hay diet.
