So we have 2 baby buns 11 weeks old who live in our bedroom. We have no other place to put them besides there and they are super active at night. They have toys a 2 story condo tons of food but continue to play tag at 3am through the night. What can we do to stop the noise? I thought of taking their latter away so they can't go up stairs at night to run around and put it back in the morning any ideas? My husband is losing a lot of sleep from them and is super tired at work x.x

It's unfortunate that you have to keep them in your bedroom because it's just natural for them to be active at night. Maybe you and your husband could just use earplugs when you are sleeping. I have to do that sometimes when my husband snores.
It has gotten worse anyone have any ideas? Have hardly got any sleep for 3 days now any suggestion at all would be helpful. Sadly we can't move them into the other room ethier because we just bought a cooler.
If they have to stay in your room, then the only thing I can think of is that you need to do things to sort of adjust your buns schedule. Normally rabbits are active morning and evening and sleep most of the time in between. You may need to do things that will keep them active and busy, especially right before bedtime. Play with them, let them run around, and right before you go to bed, feed them. It can also help to change their feed schedule. Pellets tend to fill them up pretty fast, then they have nothing else to do but cause trouble 
So you can try giving their pellets during the day, then have them eating mostly hay and their veggies at night. This way they will spend more of their time eating the hay and less time with noisy activities. Just remember to make food changes gradually.

How do you guys react to them when they are making all that noise? Do you get up, turn on the light, check on the bunny...maybe play with it a little bit? Turn on the tv? Maybe give them a treat and pet them? If you are, your bunnies are training you. Rabbits may be small, but they are very intelligent. Their behavior is causing a reaction from you which bring them attention. Sadly, you are getting trained.

Is their current set up a hutch that rattles and shakes as they binkying and run around? Replace the hutch with a play pen instead. If they are running around on carpet, they wouldn't make a lot of noise. Do not hang toys that make noise if they bump into the fence. If you are on hardwood, you could purchase a horse stall mat made of rubber to make it a little quieter. There are some members here that can chime in on flooring option. We are currently on carpet so its not too bad.

I just recently joined this website hoping for some help. I just got my lionhead rabbit about a year ago. She has been my dream rabbit. She does not really bit and is very good. The only thing is she has not let me hold her as much and when I do she usually bites me. Its not my biggest concern thought. My only problem with her is SHE NEVER SLEEPS AT NIGHT. She is constantly digging at the bottom of her cage and digging in her litter box and I can not sleep. I just got her a bigger cage that I am even adding a second story onto it ( i just have not found the time). I bought a dog cage that is considered a large to extra large sized cage and it is a lot bigger than her old one. I originally got her cage on sale at petco but as I realized she was growing out of it and It really was not fair for her. She needed a bigger cage and so the size of her cage now is 42x29x30 (roughly how big it is). 42 is the length, 29 is the width and 30 is the height. I also changer her litter box at least 100 times due to the fact she was peeing everywhere. She now uses it but she digs so much. I am almost cleaning her cage 3 times a week. At night it gets to the point where I am leaving my room she is so loud. She scratches at the bottom of her cage, chews at the bars, digs in her litterbox, the list goes on. I am new to owning a rabbit and I have been looking all over the internet for hack and stuff to help but most of them will not help. She chews on absolutely everything and so the covering her cage will end with her getting sick and me loosing a blanket. I give her toys to play with but they are usually loud and or she will not play with them. She is given hay every night and that usually keeps her occupied for 5 min and then starts with her digging. I am stuck and need some advice on what to do. It is really hard for me to find time to let her run around because I am so busy. I thought by buying a bigger cage and adding a second story where she can run up and down her ramp would help with the whole exorcise thing. How much do you let him out? My bunny was chewing the cage and digging a lot when I didn't let him out enough. They are more active at night ( actually dawn and dusk...). How much do you let him out? Seems like your bun has a lot of energy! And for the cleaning, I clean my buns cage 2-3 times a week.

My bun loves to dig we make him a ton of digging playthings. As for the biting the cage, my bun has free roam for 90% of the day and the rest of the day his cage is open to the hallway so he has a lot of space and he still bites his cage! I think he just likes the sound

I think that he is trying to get your attention or wants something from you. I'm no expert though... it's good that your bun is free roam most of the day, but how much do you play with him yourself? Bunnies can have a lot if space, but they need a lot of attention and love.

Can you get a second rabbit? My little guy was solo for a year (with us, that is. He was solo for 3 years before we adopted him!). He's had a bonded mate for a year now and they do alot more lounging and grooming than you could imagine. They run and play when we have them free roaming in the morning and at night which probably helps them be less noisy when we are ready for sleep.

Is your bunny spayed? I've had my male Lionhead since he was a baby. He was very chill and calm up until 6 months old. He started to get very agitated and frustrated and would dig and scratch at the rugs and even started to scratch at the walls. About a year old, I got him neutered and it made a world of difference. Now he's very calm and chill and just lays around most of the day. He's a cage-free bunny and has free roam of the living room by day but at night he's locked safely away in a cage and perfectly fine with it.
Sounds like your rabbit is bored. Do you have him on a schedule? My rabbit was a lot better once I got her on a schedule. Then she knew When freedom and playtime were and when it was time to go to bed. Rabbits are most alert at dawn and dusk but can alter that to spend more time with you- cause they love us! Maybe if you spend an hour playing with him before bed you can wear him out?
Also Small Pet Select has a digging board for sale. I’m going to get one for my bun for her birthday. ( you can google them) The board might not make less noise but it would be less messy.

If you can't find any ways to get the rabbits to quiet down, there's some other solution. I have this problem with our dog getting up and shaking (very loudly) multiple times a night. I got a white noise machine (paid around $20) that makes sounds like rain or an ocean all night... blocks out the sound. I also keep a loud fan on just for the noise. I also sleep with ear plugs. Aaand I have ear muffs used for blocking noise when mowing the lawn, also about $20, that go on over the earplugs (can only sleep on your back with those though, and some people report getting headaches from the ear muffs).
I also tried sleeping pills from my doctor, but those are for drastic measures if there's no other way for you to sleep.

I had the same issue for a while and I live in a small dorm with a roommate so it was not good. My bun would grab the bars of her pen and shake the whole thing Now I let her run around just before bed to get some wiggles out, I put some quiet nighttime toys in there (different from daytime toys so that she's interested in them, usually something she can chew on like cardboard), and I cover her pen with a blanket. This has worked really well for me, I hope this helps you all too!

we just free roamed our bunny and 5-6 am is her go time. I dont mind as i actually get a laugh by her zooming around the room at full speed lol my husband went to try and put her in a large box Saturday morning and i was close to biting his head off! I intervened but the sheer act alone made her mad at us for a whole 24 hours lol! My husband is getting used to the pedestal i but her on
Our bunnies are amazingly quiet at night. Their hutch is in the living room. We take them out about 1 1/2 hour into an outdoor playpen where they binky, throw toys around, etc. They are over a year old. Occasionally i hear a drinking sound from a bottle at night but usually they just sleep quietly.

actually they are active in the early morning and dusk... my bun is up between 5:30 - 6:30 until i leave for work and she get up around the same time in the evening when we get home around 5ish. ours is free roam so she can play freely but she is always in bed by 9-10ish. Perfect companion for a working girl
