Bunny peeing and pooping on bed

Hello so I have a female bunny not sure of age maybe around 5 -7months not 100% sure of breed but I'm thinking lionhead. She isnt spayed yet since the vet said to wait 2 -3 months. But currently I'm having difficulty with her peeing on my bed. She likes to pee on the top half of the bed never the bottom half. So the headboard area. I'm not sure if this is due to it being kind of a corner area. Shell usually turn her butt towards me and pee right next to me or around me. Just near the headboard of my bed. (Also where she likes to sleep) I had thought she was litter trained already, she used to run straight to her litter box and pee so I thought she knew how to. Since I've let her on my bed shes been constantly peeing in that headboard area. I wash my blankets almost everyday, I do have her own fleece blanket she can pee on and when she does I'll use vinegar, let it sit, and soak it up with paper towel. It's usually not a big deal but the problem is at night when I'm not really watching her and shell pee right near me she even sat on top of me and peed me... lol. Vinegar doesnt keep her away. It doesnt do anything for her shell go back and pee anyways. I thought this was territorial behavior but I'm kind of thinking now that shes doing this because it's like an area she can huddle in and pee since they do like corners to pee in. She wont pee anywhere else on my bed just the top half. She will mark the bed with her poop. As shesrunning around lil poops will be left behind. But the thing is now she leaves little piles of poops on my bed its almost like shes using it as a litter box and not only that shes also eating that poop (not cecotropes) and spitting it out leaving a pile of messy poop on her side of the bed. I have tried spraying the whole fleece blanket with vinegar letting it dry and putting it back.. that didn't work.Vinegar doesnt work on her at all. I know I shouldwait til shes spayed to see if that solves most of the issues but I'm not able to right now since shes too young and I would like some solution to deal with this for the time being. Or any tips would be great.

*please no tips telling me to remove her access to my bed or to cage myself in my bed. x.x I want her to be with me if she wants to and I dont want her to have less space in my room to roam around.

Some other notes about her..not sure if normal
-she poops while she sleeps kind of funny and adorable

-shes recently became extra attached to me, shell run around me in circles and shes alwaysconstantly begging me for tickles. Shes always begged for tickles but not as excessively as now. 7am shell lick me to death and wont stop til I pet her. She now lets me pick her up while she never allowed me to before because she was kind of traumatized from the vet and she never initially liked being held to begin with...

-doesnt pee on my floor

- never peed on my rug although I've sinced removed it to get it cleaned

-still pees on her own blankets like once to mark itthen doesnt really go back to it from what I've seen. Basically anything soft shell pee on rarely does she pee on the hard floor.

-still pees in litter box and poops mostly while shes eating, I just havent seen her run to it just to peelike she used to. But not sure.

-used to have an x pen for her at night but could never keep her in, so I just removed it all together and let her free roam my room since she was already free roami ng anyways. (I live with my parents so she only has my room to free roam)

-when she had her x pen she'd sometimes pee on her fleece blanket but didnt seem like a lot...

-when she pees she leaves a milky residue(I read online this is normal I started noticing after theswitch in pellets)

Also shes not sick shes active and eating well still does pinkies and all.

She looks young(ish)... 5-7 mos doesn't sound inaccurate. Definitely not a lionhead, though. She's REW (red-eyed white), which I believe basically translates to albino; multiple breeds can fall into that category. More info can be found here.

Unfortunately, rabbits are often attracted to pee on soft things like beds or sofas. Spaying may or may not help. As far as I know, your only options are to opt for a waterproof mattress pad (which I advocate for all rabbit owners who ever snuggle their rabbits in or give their rabbits access to their bed - you couldn't pay me to give ours up (and the two rabbits who peed on our bed last week are a perfect example as to why)), block access to the bed 100% and/or hope that she grows out of it. Our Alice used to be a terrible offender when it came to peeing in the bed even when she hadn't been away from her litter box very long at all... but at some point, she stopped having a hard-on for peeing up our mattress (thankfully!). One thing that I think helped was that if she peed the bed, we would immediately lock her up in her cage for a bit, so she learned to associate peeing the bed with captivity. Really, though, waterproof mattress pad + extra set of sheets = win.

As for poops, rabbits poop up to 500 poops a day so that's par for the course. You can't expect them all in the litter box or they'd never leave it! Piles of poop are normal, too - they like to let out a bunch at once. I've never paid much attention to sleep pooping in my own rabbits, but I know it's also normal. As for chewing up and spitting out fecal (as opposed to cecal) poops... that's less normal but not unheard of. Never dealt with it myself, though, so I don't have any advice to offer.

Ty for the reply! Hm I'm pretty sure I've seen albino lionheads though :s shes got the lions mane and floof on ber butt and head. I know theres also double and single maned so she is probably a single maned since shes not super fluffy.

I'll be sure to get that waterproof mattress thanks for the tips! ^o^

Also a little update on her little obsession with me... she was circling around me again and she wouldnt stop then all of a sudden shes climbing on my leg and I just thought shes begging for treats but nope... she was humping my leg. So I guess that means its definitely time for a spay....I didnt know females also humped x.x

Before she blew her juvie coat at 6-7 mos, my lionhead looked double-maned. Your rabbit, based on the pics, has *significantly* less mane than my single-maned lionhead (now 7 yrs old). Maybe it's the angles? Regardless, your bunn doesn't look like a lionhead, even single-maned and fully grown, hence my earlier comment.

Waterproof mattress cover = win. Rubber sheets are a thing of the past - these days you can get cloth-like waterproof covers that are either pull-over or zippered and have NO obnoxious crinkle to them. If you're in the US, you can get 'em at Walmart and such or on Amazon. Between 4 rabbits and 2 humans (beverage spills and the like), our mattress cover has seriously reduced the clean-up efforts required more times than I can count - just throw it in the washer with the sheets!

Circling, honking and humping are all hormonal cues (though spayed/neutered bunns can still hump other bunns for dominance reasons) so I'm glad a spay is in the works. That said, I got my first two girls (dwarves) spayed at 5 mos (the vet wanted them 2 lb+ so their little ovaries were easier to find) so I'm a little curious why your vet wants to wait another 2-3 mos on a rabbit that's already 5-7 mos.

The vet had told me to wait about 2 months ago was gonna wait til the end of this month to take her but I'm thinking I'll be taking her sooner. She was under weight so maybe that's why not sure.

Also do you know of any good brands on amazon for the water proof mattress protector? A lot of them seem to have negative reviews

I have three lion head bunnies. The first picture your bunny did not look like lion head because of of ears looking longer. The last three pictures of bunny looks like mixed breed with lion head . I will send pictures of my lion heads.

So cute! I wish I had some advice, my little boy does the EXACT same thing! Always the top half, never the bottom, and usually when he's mid cuddle. He's around 8 mos, and I've been having trouble litter training in general. He just does not seem to like the litter pan I have for him... I have one with a wire mesh over top and I'm thinking maybe I should take the wires off and fill it with litter instead. I'm with you though, I don't want to restrict access to my bed or anywhere in the house. I want him to be able to roam free and cuddle whenever he likes.

Yea I'd probably make his litter box more soft and comfy kinda like the bed >_> lol. But my bun also does pee mid cuddle or if I stop petting her shell turn her butt towards me and pee next to me or by the headboard. I guess cause its soft they like peeing there. It's frustrating... but hopefully someone has any other tips or advice on how to stop this behavior? I've tried putting her blankets that smell like her and everything but it hasn't worked out. Vinegar doesnt keep her away either.
