I would still get simethicone in the form of liquid infant gas drops (infant gas X) and/or infant liquid mylicon (simethicone) to have in the house if this should occur again. You want simethicone as the active ingredient on the back of the bottle and nothing else

it sounds like he had gas and it may have resolved quicker and been less stressful for you if you could have given him about 1 cc of it.
But we're glad that he's OK now
