Hi All. Im new to the forum, but me and my gf got our bunny "Pancakes" about 3 months ago. Today when we were holding him on his back as he loves, we noticed a 1/2 inch long lump on the one side. Naturally we assumed that it was his "friend" but then upon further inspection he appeared to have a second one. It almost looks as if there was a fat worm inside. He doesnt appear to be acting any different and is happy as usual. Does anyone know what this is? I have no experience with bunnys so I cant search, but if someone can help me out and possibly save me X amount of dollars from the vet, that would be great.

Thanks from us and Pancakes.

could you get a photo for us to see?

your description is a little confusing. . .

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I just need to ask. Is this on his "side" and not by his genitals?Has he had a rabbit-savvy vet check him out? If not, please do so, they will feel it out and possibly take fluid from that area to determine what to do from there. Please keep us updated. Hard to say at this point.:)

If they are on either side then what your looking at is probablyhis testicles, but i don't know what you mean when you sayit looks like there was a fat worm inside:?

I dont have a camera and know little about rabbit anatomy, so it could VERY well be his testicles. I had no idea that they were that big then and looked like that. Here is a paint image of what and where. I dont have a camera with me at the moment.

yep,it very well looks like they're his testicles

Well, you know what they look like now;)

Well that would be a great sigh of relief. I guess in a way I feel stupid but not for the fact that I know next to Nothing about rabbits. Do they normally look like fat worms like that?Im guessing 90% that your right because he seems to be acting completley normal. Just in the past month or so he has "grown" like crazy. Hehe:elephant:

Yep - that's what they are....as my husband says, "rabbit testicles are rather prominent, separated on either side and LONG..not round.."

(a breeder).....

Just wanted to make sure, she cares a lot about him ( I as well, but it was her present :D ) I'll make a post about him tommorow with some pictures.

I guess now that you put two and two together it makes sence, and kinda feel like a idiot. Way to introduce myself. Hehe

Yes, but they look a bit bigger. Maybe because he is smaller? He is a Holland Lop. Thanks for the comment on the paint drawing; I wanted to get the pic out as soon as possible.

Hi Haley!!!!:D

Panckes, when I got Snuffles they thought he was a she. The minute I met him, I pulled him from his cage and flipped him over and OMG, what I found was quite huge too!:shock: That would be a boy!:)Oh, and he is a Holland as well.
