Bunny got fur tangled

I noticed when petting my bunny cheeks she had a tangled of fur on the side. I don’t think I can brush it out. Is it safe to cut it?
Has this happened to your buns before? I’m not sure how it got tangled. Any ideas.

I often cut the tangled fur on my bunnies if I find any. My bunny always get tangled fur under his chin or cheeks.

Have no idea how when he have short fur and not long

My cats get fur mats all the time, and I try to cut them off, but there is no hope getting all of them. When they shed their big winter coat all the mats just fall off so I don't have to cut them. Has your rabbit gone through her big shed yet? When she does she might shed it.

Yes, mine too it’s not long and not short it’s average. I do pet her cheeks, she loves it maybe I did it and never noticed too.

The fur will grow back, I think it just tangled fur that your bunny was shedding that got mixed togheter

Yes, she did recently go through big shed.

I would cut it then because she will not be going through a molt anytime soon. Be careful not to get her skin.

I think it’ll be okay to cut. Do it slowly and not too close to the skin. It might looks little strange for a few weeks, but it’ll grow back.
