My rabbit (netherland dwarf) seems to get tummy upsets from time to time. I feed him the bunny mix from the petshop as well as fresh vegetablesand he seems to be bright and healthy enough apart from this problem.

Any ideas?

He might not be getting enough fibre in his diet. You could try feeding him pellets instead of hay because they usually have higher fibre in them. Also give him unlimited good quality hay such as Timothy or meadow hay.

I think Bunnys_rule63 might mean pellets instead of mix. The mix stuff has lots of high-carb seeds and treats that are bad for rabbits. They're okay as a tiny treat, but the amount in mixes is way too much. I'm not surprised your bun has tummy upsets from them. Instead of a mix, feed your rabbit a plain high fiber pellet. If you tell us what country you're in we can recommend brands and how to find them. I feed Oxbow Bunny Basics/T and it's great stuff.

Grass hay is also important, especially for rabbits that are prone to stomach/GI problems. It's very high fiber and tends to "scrub out" the intestines and help prevent blockages.

What veggies are you feeding? Some, like cabbage and broccoli, tend to cause gas. Also, while many rabbits do fine with lots of veggies, others are more sensitive to vegetables and can only have certain ones in small amounts, or maybe no veggies at all.

Check this thread for more info on how to feed your rabbit.
