Hi! I have a 10 week old mini lop bunny. I don't know the gender yet but I think it is a female. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old and I've noticed that her anus looks swollen. It protrudes a bit and is very pink. Is this normal for babies or should I have her taken to the vet? Thanks for any help!

Could be an anal polyp or possibly the beginning of a prolapse of the rectum which may be genetic in origin or caused by straining to defecate.
It is best have to have the bun examined by a rabbit knowledgeable vet.

I have an older male who has an anal polyp which is sometimes outside of the rectum and sometimes cannot be seen at all.
