I’m fostering 4 bunnies, just noticed today that all their teeth are brown/black. We gave them banana, because one is very underweight and I know it’s good for weight gain so that’s the only reason I can think of as to why they’d be that colour

That's okay. My bunny was the same. I gave her lots of chew toys and pellets. Little by little her brown teeth were trimmed and white teeth started to show. Don't worry. I think all bunnies go through That phase of their lives that their teeth turn to a darker color. As long as it's not a disease or teeth infection. They should be fine.

If it's all 4 rabbits it could possibly be due to something in their diet possibly staining their teeth. Or if it's decay of the teeth, it could be due to poor diet in their previous situation. If they could possibly have dental disease I would suggest getting a thorough dental exam by an experienced rabbit vet.

... about gaining weight. Feeding sugary foods (like banana) really isn't the best or safest way to have a rabbit gain weight. It can, however, cause an imbalance of gut flora that could lead to GI stasis.

It would be safer to add a little alfalfa hay to their regular hay and/or allow them to eat more plain pellets.

are pellets good? Not high in sugar or anything? I stopped feeding banana, they have meadow hay as I’m allergic to the others
