Help Needed
Tennessee
American Sable - seal point - Approx 5 lbs
Vet sais about 2 yrs old
Female
Don't know prior history.
She appeared on our Patio 5 weeks ago (abandoned ?) and I took her in. Took her to a bunny vet on Friday and she got a clean bill-of-health.
Keren (toy poodle) and I am concerned about Bugsy. She lays on her tummy with head up.
Every morning when we come out to the garage (man cave), Bugsy is very excited to see us, wants a treat and some petting. This morning she stayed in her nesting box, not moving.
I did reach in and pet her in the nesting box. No response from her. Her litter box is very clean where all other mornings is has been heavily used - poop & pee. Not this morning A tiny bit of pee, and less poop than normal
It's been three hours now and she just quietly moved over to the litter box and parked there. I offered water and she only took a sip. Doesn't look like she ate any of her pellets last night. That's the only drink she has had. Not eating. I have been out here with her for 6 hours now.
When we went in the house at 4:30 yesterday afternoon, she was fine. I gave her a little treat before leaving and she enjoyed it.
Clay kitty litter
Aspen bedding
eats bunny food pellets, timothy, and treats are fresh carrots and honey/seed log tidbits. Caged so no access to anything else to eat.
Lethargic, but no drooling, wet face, wet nose, ruby eyes, coughing or sneezing. Breathing normal.
It's now 7 1/2 hours and she is in litter box again and and appears to be straining to go (pee?) without success.[/b]
Has not been outdoors since I've had her. 5 weeks.
We have a toy poodle that is in good health and they have been playing together for 5 weeks.
I would appreciate any help that can be offered.
Thank you
