loulous foot swelled up and she's not putting any pressure in it i put her in a smaller cage by herself- need advice!

nope roads are crappy because of the ice storm last night

Aww poor loou loou!!!!Sweet baby..what foot is it..is it the white paw!! it better not be!...Humm lookin on the internet for broken rabbit legs...!

she's eating, drinking and she seems fine, but not too happy to be separated from her buddy

Did you see any blood? Im wondering if maybe she just ripped a nail off. If you cant get her to a vet, I would just try your best to keep her stabilized for now. Make sure the cage shes in doesnt have any levels for her to jump on.

Keep an eye on her to be sure shes eating/drinking/pooping for now.

Our little Whiskers broke a bone in his foot last year. When we took him to the vet, which is a must, he casted it, which lasted for about 2 weeks before the poor little guy just couldn't take it anymore. The vet recommended that he be kept in his cage until it had a chance to heal, and that he not be any where where he could jump. Hope all goes well. It's so hard to keep them caged, even when the vet says it's for their own good. We let Whiskers out on our bed, and stayed with him while he got at least a little bit of freedom every day. Goodluck!

I think that Lou Lous swelling is going down...umm she may have just banged it like a broose..but i will ask her in the moring how the bunnys are doing!:colors:

Aww, poor baby :( Are there any particular lumps, or is the whole thing just swollen? If it's still sore, try to get her to a vet ASAP.

Good luck,
Rachel.
