Bringing a 2nd new rabbit home

Ok i have a year in a half old rabbit namedtoyota. and i just got a new one its about 3 weeks old. His name isChip.So my problem is thattoyota goes nuts when shesmells his scent. she starts biting her cage and whenyou pether she does that mean moan.And so we let her out and she poops allover the places where chip has been and pee's aswell. anywho i needsome help ....in how to have them get along thanks

There have been several threads about bonding buns lately. Check them out if you haven't already.

The bathtub trick worked for me. Small, neutral areas wherethey can't run and you can referee seem to do the trick. Tryit for just a couple of minutes each day and increase the time slowly.

Welcome to the forum Chip.

The first thing I would do is check-up on the Cheat Sheet for RabbitCare topic in this forum and click on to theBonding Two or More Bunnies for information.

What kind of rabbit is Toyota and Chip? IsToyotaspayed? It would be interesting to see how the older rabbitbond with a new young one. Keep us posted.

I agree with mambo....it doesn't seem right that you have a 3 weekold....bunnies should go to their new homes no earlier than 7weeks....maybe even that's too early....i got my bun when he was 9weeks...

Also, your new bun is pooping and peeing because she is trying to establish her territory.
