B described rex fur...

i kinda thought it had mr ears--maybe a little pointed but not all ears are perfect...i dunno i could be wrong.

it might be unusuall for a complete mix to have rex fur since rex isrecessive. if its normal furred parent was bred to a rex the normalwould have to carry rex and have rex in the background.

just my two cents...:D

I've gotten into the "He's A rex/spot something or another, fuzzy mutt bunny, that I lurves a lot" stage LOL

At this point, its good enough to have a general idea of what he is:). I'm not breeding or showing him or anything. Iwas just curious b/c I'd never seen a spotted Rabbit.

All the rabbits I had growing up were all solid white w/ pinkeyes. And my sisters little rabbit is solid black. Some kind of dwarf rabbit or something is what the pet store guy said,he knew the breed of him.

Just with Harvey he didnt know. He had been bought at a petstore, returned, bought, returned, then shipped across state in a boxto this pet store. If anything I can give him a good homethat he can stay in. At least he's come around and isn't asskiddish anymore. He's coming up to me and touching noses andletting me love him.

As I said,I was just trying to get a general Idea.Thank you guys so much for the info...it's greatlyappreciated. I've been visiting a lot of you guy's pages too, you're bunnies are all just adorable!

"Inbetweens" are not uncommon since the normal fur does notcompletely mask the recessive gene. Normal furred rabbitscarrying the wooled gene have a slightly longercoat (that'swhy we see so many Hollands with longer coats) and rabbits carrying therex fur gene may have a slightly shorter coat. We had aHolland carrying rex fur -- wasn't rollback fur -- but wasn't rex fureither. You see a number of these due to breeders mixingHollands with Mini Rex.

With Mini Rex crossings being so common, it is not unusual to see rexfurred rabbits popping up in litters of normal furred crosses

by the way who did you get Bo from? (he is about the cutest castor i have ever seen!)

I got him from a breeder/ARBA judge in Ohio.

Thank you so much for that sweet comment. Of course I think he's adorable but I am his "mommy."
