Bite!

Hi, I'm a fairly new bunny owner and got my rabbit just 3 weeks ago. Recently my cousins came over with their bunny hoping that our two bunnies would bond. I didn't know they were over because I was in the bathroom. Without my consent they put their bunny in my rabbits cage(if I was there I would have stopped them). The two fought and their rabbit ripped out a large bunch of my rabbits fur. The bite didn't bleed but it looks very pink. I did my research before getting a bunny but I dont know how to treat this! Please help what should I do?

Can you take a photo while holding the fur back so that we can see the skin?

I'm sorry you had to go through this. That was foolish of your cousins to do (especially behind your back). Never should a stranger rabbit be put inside another rabbit's cage. That isn't how to bond rabbits anyway. (and rabbits should only be bonded if the intention is to have them remain together. I doubt your cousins were planning on surrendering their rabbit to you so the rabbits would always be together).

But it sounds like you already knew better. How frustrating that must've been for you. Thankfully, it doesn't appear that there was any serious damage -- at least not from the photo shown. I'm glad neither bunny was seriously hurt.

Thanks for the help! I was really angry when I found out what happened because even their bunny was shaking from the fight. It was irresponsible but I couldn't say much because my cousins are all really young.
I tried to pull back the fur but she's in a really playful mood right now and running around. Hope the picture is okay, it looks like a balding spot almost. I was told that it happened when they were pulling their bunny off. It started holding onto my bunnys fur and they continued pulling causing the fur to RIP out.

If there isn’t any blood hopefully it will be okay. Keep an eye over the next few days to see if there is any swelling or scab formation. How frustrating they did that though! Glad she is okay!
