Okay so... I'm pretty sure I've already posted about this in the past, but I'm trying to figure out who I should pair my BEW doe with next! As of now, I have 4 options:
• Orange Harlequin (Non VC)
• Orange / Black Tri-Color (Non VC)
• Frosty (Carries Heavy VM)
• Cream (Non VC)
My BEW carries many variations of Harlequin, as well as broken chocolate chinchilla, opal, black, red, and tri-color. Unfortunately her pedigree has quite a few BEW's in it as well, making it near impossible to narrow it down to her exact coat coloring. In her last litter, she was paired with the Orange Harlequin buck mentioned above and produced 4 orange / cream Harlequins and 1 Harlequinized chestnut. Weirdly enough, none of the babies were VM even though all of them technically carried the Vienna gene.
I'm guessing she would produce wide band variations if paired with the cream, with the possibility of Harlequins and chestnuts too. Probably something similar with the frosty, although I've never worked with this color so not super familiar with it. Wouldn't there be a greater possibility of getting chinchilla variations if I paired her with a frosty? With the tri-color, she may produce Harlequin and broken Harlequin variations. Since she has already paired with the Orange Harlequin, I know she will most likely produce something similar again!
Thank you, I look forward to hearing the suggestions!
