Bean not eating....

Hey all,
Bean is acting strange and didn't accept his nightly treat earlier which he usually goes absolutely nuts for. I also tried feeding him a blackberry which he declined and he's also declining fresh hay.
Now, a bit of context: I didn't feed him breakfast this morning (which i usually do), so I fed him extra lettuce for dinner. Maybe I fed him too much lettuce and he's full? Dinner for him was a couple of hours ago and he just now snubbed his treats. Do ya'll think it may be possible that he's just really full? I can't do much about it right now because it's almost midnight where I am and I can't drive him to the vet at the moment

I have to be up early for school tomorrow so I'll see if I can post an update on him before I leave. If he's still not eating by them I'll ask my mom if she can take him to the vet while I'm at school.

Lettuce is mostly water, so it's unlikely to have filled him up on its own unless you fed a whole lot, which wouldn't be good for other reasons. Plus it's unlikely he would still feel full on it 2 hours later. Now if he ate pellets and hay as well, then he could have been full with that and the lettuce. Though I've never seen a perfectly well rabbit refuse their favorite treat when offered, even if full.

If you're reading this post in the morning and your rabbit still isn't eating anything or is barely eating, your rabbit may have GI stasis and I would strongly recommend getting your rabbit seen first thing by a knowledgeable rabbit vet. Any rabbit that's stopped eating (or is barely eating) for more than 12-24 hours, has bloat or true diarrhea, or their condition is deteriorating, is considered an emergency.

I suspected as much and was prepared to take him to the vet if he continued like this.

Thankfully when I woke up this morning, he was happily eating his hay in his litterbox and ate his full plate of breakfast lettuce. I'm at school right now and will post an update when I get back home and give him his nightly treat. =)

Update: some new treats I ordered for Bean came in the mail tonight and I gave them to him which he happily chomped away at. Thanks, JBun for the help. =)
