i was really excited when i saw the preview for Atonement (the one with keira knightly) and wanted to see it. but i recently found out its a book. any chance someone has seen and read it? ususally i'm a book person, but the previews looked really good. i can't decide which ishoulddo! thanks if you can help! ~Jess

I've read other books by the same author, and this particular author writes books that are SLOOoooooowwww. So if you are an avid reader and are up for it - go for the book of course. I just started it, and it's just as slow as all his other books. He is really really long winded and writes in circles to explain something very trivial. I'm not a huge fan, but I do also like to read books before I see movies, that's why I talked myself into reading another of his books.

:yeahthat:I was thinking of reading the book a while ago but decided against it after I'd heard that the whole thing was pretty long-winded. I still haven't seen the film - although I think I'll get it on DVD when it comes out and have a watch.:)

thanks guys! i think i am going to see the movie, after the book reviews. it was the movie i first wanted to see and i am going to go with my instinct. thanks again
