A cardboard box rules! I will also cut windows and decorate them, for my own amusement. Neal's favorite hidey house was a box decorated inside and out as the Louve, except with bunnies as the people in all the paintings. Neal was named after an art thief and seeing him playing in his art museum cracked me up!

House Rabbit Society has a 3-tiered cardboard cottage for $20. It's a bit pricey for cardboard when you can make your own, but if you don't have the time, then it's not too bad if you're able to spend the money. I bought one for my rabbit and at first she was scared to go into the higher levels, but now she's a daredevil and will jump from the top tier and zoom throughout the box lol.

I use boxes and cut doors in one long side and the two short sides. They like low boxes, but a few are higher.

Cat tunnels make good hiding spaces too if you have the space for it.
