Hi! At what age can you cut bunnies toenails? My bun was born April 10, 2018

I don’t know if there’s an actual rule for this, but I would just, cut them if and when they need cutting.

I wouldn’t cut them too young, as you could accidentally nip the rabbits toes - their nails are so small. A young rabbit shouldn’t generally need nails clipped at a young age anyway because they won’t be too long that they need to be trimmed...

How often do you all do this? I have yet to clip Bunster's but I'm getting scratched when he kicks so I think they're too long lol

It’s completely dependent on the bunny and on the flooring they are on. I have had bunnies who never needed a nail trim, and my current bunny gets a trim every 6-8 weeks. You just have to judge if their nails look too long and go from there, there isn’t really a “one protocol fits all” answer

Her nails are already long and scratches me. Maybe I could file them a little instead of cutting them.

Awww!!!! Thank you @lavendertealatte
