Hello..
this is my first time so I’m going to need a little help please.
It’s been four hours and thirty minutes since haru woke up, she is better now, hiding inside her hidie box that she never used. I don’t have critical care so I mushed her pellets with a little bit of banana and tried to syringe feed her, she took two Mls and ate small dill after two hours of the surgery, after thirty minutes I gave her one Ml water by syringe, she refused to take more, and also gave her 5 Mls of the mushy pellets and two small rocca leaves, after an hour she refused every thing so I gave her half a piece of mandarin orange, and after thirty minutes I gave her a small piece of mango.
I don’t want to give her alot of fruits but she’s refusing anything else and I want her to eat. All the fruits combined are one tbsp. Now i saw her grooming herself, and when i was feeding her she cleaned her face. She looks like she’s okay, but she’s not pooping, last time she pooped was 7/8 hours ago. After that we got out, and she doesn’t poop outside of the house, and after an hour she had surgery and no poops. I know that they won’t poop right after surgery, but when should I get worried? and what should i do

Keep trying leafy greens and veggies. I would stick to ones she's already used to eating if at all possible. I wouldn't give too much fruit. Too many sugary foods can upset the digestive system. If she will eat greens and veggies, I would keep offering them to her every 30 minutes to an hour, and if she will at least eat a little bit each time, it shouldn't be necessary to syringe feed water or pellets, unless she's barely eating any. It can usually take up to 24 hours for their eating to get back to normal. If they aren't eating normally after 24 hours, then it's time to get concerned and regular syringe feeding may be needed.

It can take several hours for the digestive system to get back to normal. As your bun starts eating more normally, that will get the poops back to normal.

It's also very important to keep her warmed up if she is cold. I judge that by feeling the ears. If the ears feel cold, the bunny is probably too cold. It's common after anesthesia for rabbits to be at risk of mild hypothermia. And a cold rabbit doesn't eat well. They need to be actively warmed up, with a safe heat pack or such.

Yes the air conditioner is turned off and I covered the cage with a blanket, i also gave her the plastic bottle that you fill with hot water and put inside a cloth.. I forgot what it’s called, i put warm water instead of hot. It’s been an hour, she is refusing to eat. Is it okay if she doesn’t poop until tomorrow? like.. not even one poop. i told the vet that she's not pooping and he said to wait until tommorow, but i'm getting worried. about her being warm.. until when should i do that? because yes the room is warm now, but because the air condetioner is off, it's a bit hard to breath

I gave her romane, she ate a little, her water bowl is in front of her but she ignored it, she went to the pee pad, peed, then she tried to lick the pee what is that behavior? is she thirsty? i put the bowl near her, she looked at it and then looked away

You don't necessarily need to have your AC off. I would just keep her away from it or any vents blowing cold air. And feel her ears. If they are cold then I would make sure the warm pack is kept warmed up and that she is laying by it. I would worry less about the pooping and just concentrate on offering her greens like the romaine. Even if she will only eat a little bit each time, If she will eat a little each time you offer it, that will add up.

She may be trying to lick her pee if she needs sodium because she's low in electrolytes. If you have a salt lick or mineral lick, I would offer that to her. Or if you have electrolytes, maybe offer her a small bowl of an electrolyte solution and see if she'll drink some of that.

Update! She just pooped, and nibbled on some hay, my mom says that the poops smell as bad as human poops, is that because it stayed in her stomach for a while? also it look a little bit wet

I’m thinking it’s because of the mushy pellets that I fed her, because it kind of smells like it.. now the whole room smells like that. Until when should I keep her in a quite place?

She’s better now and trying to jump out of the cage, she doesn’t have a litter box that has a lower side, so i put the lower part of the carrier because I don’t want her to jump, but she refused to go from the front, instead she’s jumping from the side . Buutttt she isn’t drinking water at all, she started to eat hay, but it’s alot less than the veggies, her poops smell bad and they’re all different shapes, I tried to give her camomile tea by syringe, she refused it I’m worried about the poops now

He didn’t, he gave her right after the surgery and said that she wouldn’t need it, I was worried about it, but she looks fine. If I’m going to ignore him and give her something, then I’ll get it tomorrow, it’s late now and I won’t find it anywhere. My mom said to grind panadol and give her a little bit, would that be okay? I’m not syringing anything now, I also stopped giving her fruits, and I’m giving her less veggies than before so she would eat hay, but she refuses to drink water. It’s been 40 hours since the surgery, she’s pooping alot but all of them are like the ones in the picture is that okay? and it still smells bad. when is it not okay for her poops to look like that? i looked it up and it was 32 hours thats why i'm worried. also they said that the poops will look like that after surgery because there isn't much food in their stomach, but haru is eating well..

It can take a few days for the poops to get back to normal. As long as she is eating then I wouldn't worry so much about the poops or the water consumption. If a rabbit isn't getting enough fluids/water, they will stop eating well. So if they continue eating, if means they are likely getting enough fluids. It could be she is getting plenty of moisture from the veggies she's been eating. You will want to make sure she is eating the hay well. If not then I would still give her more veggies. Then if she is eating veggies really well, gradually reduce the amount to see if she will start eating more hay.

Did you start giving pain medication? Meloxicam is the only one I'm familiar with giving to rabbits. Girl buns need pain medication for several days after this surgery. It's a very invasive surgery, and painful, just like it would be for a person to have it. So no, one day of pain medication is not enough, and can be why a rabbit isn't getting back to eating normally, because they are hurting.

I just took her out of the cage, she’s in an empty room, so she can play a little bit without jumping over stuff. I sniffed her poops, it doesn’t smell like anything, I also sniffed the litter box, cage, blankets, towel, her hidie box, and her butt, nothing smells different, I don’t know what is that bad smell!

No, my mom says that it smells like a fart, or like human poops, i say that it smells like wet pellets. I don’t know about other pellets, but her pellets smell bad.
