Adoption rabbits🐰What breed are they?

I adopted these girls (Oreo and Pepper) yesterday but all the pet shop could tell us about them was they were both female around 2 years old. Any ideas on what breed they could be?

Both look to have lop breed in them, certainly the black one. Black/white broken should also have a long haired breed maybe a lionhead lop mix. But often it will be mixed breeds that up for adoption. Myself own a holland lop mix don’t know the rest of his breeds but if I go after what commonly get mixed into jumping rabbits he could have belgian hare in him.

So mixed breeds are really hard to know what breed they have in them My bunny just look lika a holland lop up front but his body and huge back feet doesn’t fit his size.

I kinda guessed they would both be mixed breeder as they were used for breeding in their previous home! Black and white I’m thinking has some lion head in her but she’s HUGE!

There are larger long haired breeds and maybe your girl is a french lop mix, I just said the common longhaired breed in sweden that often get mixed with other breeds

As long the bunnies are healthy and happy the breeds doesn’t matter.

The black and white one, with those ears looks to possibly be part flemish giant, then that tuft of mane behind the ears could mean part lionhead. So Flemish/ lionhead mix. Or being in the UK, possibly a continental giant/lionhead mix.

The lop will depend on how big weight wise. I would say a dwarf lop if around 2-3.5 kg or a french lop if 4kg or bigger. With that head shape I'd lean more towards french lop or french lop mix.

One thing I noticed in the photos is that your lop looks to possibly be a little thin. The top line and hips look a little angular in the photos. Is it just the angle of the photos or does your bun feel boney along the back and hips?

I’d say she’s around 2kg (still waiting to see the vets) I think it maybe just the angle of the photo as when we picked her up she felt a little on the fat side! I think she may have been a caged rabbit as she’s happiest sat in a corner eating her hay however could be she’s just not used to humans being around and she’s VERY submissive

She’s very active running round chewing everything she can but not too keen on people or being handled. She’s dominant too

I had a massive lionhead mix too (about 4.5 kg)! He was a total jerk and I loved him so much. Truly one of the coolest rabbits to ever exist and a great friend! Have so much fun with them, they are both lovely!

I'm amazed that he stood still enough on that skateboard for you to get a good pic! Storm would never ever sit still like that!

Neal was a total ham, he loved attention however he could get it! I was so lucky to have him!

This is one very big lionhead!
