Arlo is 3 months old and I’ve had him for a month. I noticed last night that his poops seemed smaller than usual and a bit less round as well. It looks like none of the poops and the same shape or size. I’m a little worried. He’s acting normal: eating hay end finishing all his pellets as well as drinking water. His energy level is normal as well. Should I contact the vet? (I’m changing his litter box tomorrow)

Is he shedding and is he eating as much hay as he normally eats? Have you started feeding any high carb/sugary foods recently(carrots, grains, fruit, etc), or any new foods in his diet?

He’s not shedding and no I haven’t fed him anything new.

Gas drops don't make any difference with the size of a rabbits fecal droppings. Indigestible fiber does. Gas drops are for a rabbit with an upset stomach from gas build up that usually will cause a lack of appetite. It's the lack of appetite that will cause smaller poop or no poop.

But your rabbit isn't showing any of these signs of an upset stomach or decreased appetite, correct? So the smaller poop that your rabbit is having is either going to be from not eating as much hay as usual or from ingesting too much fur while grooming. If your rabbit isn't molting a lot right now, then you need to look at your rabbits hay consumption, if it's decreased, and if it has, why. Did you happen to just start a new batch of hay that maybe your rabbit doesn't like as much?

To increase hay consumption you can try reducing pellet amounts. But you need to keep a really close eye on the hay eating, because if your rabbit doesn't start eating more hay with reduced pellets that same day, then this isn't a good thing and could indicate there is a health issue going on.

I just changed his litter box and put fresh hay in there so I’ll watch how he does with that. He still had leftover pellets from this morning so I took them away for now I hope that will encourage him to eat more hay. I tried to feed him a few pieces of the hay but he didn’t seem interested so I’ll keep an eye on that. He was eating hay just fine yesterday but then again I was out for most of the day. The good news is he’s still pooping even tho they are a little small. I’ll keep an eye on him! Thanks!

He hasn’t actually started shedding any of it off yet tho. But could that be the reason anyways?
Yes. The molting can help reduce poop size. As @JBun mentioned. I noticed Shen's poop decreasing in size as well, right as he began to molt as well. I recommend going with JBun's suggestion.

He seems so disinterested in his hay. He’s eating it but definitely not as much.

Is it a new bag or batch? Anything changed about it?
I don’t think so. It’s the same as I always buy. He’s eating a lot more right now than he was earlier. I think it was the pellets since I fed him them a later than usual this morning. I just removed the pellets from his playpen and he’s happily eating the hay now!! His poop is a litter bigger now too. I think he was just being suborn and wanted his pellets (*I don’t feed him too many pellets, 1/4 cup every morning*)
