The other day Art & I were talking aboutwhat colors I will want to pull a "COD" (Certificate of Development) onfor lionheads when I am eligible in 2010. I plan to poll both breedersand non-breeders to get feedback on various colors and take that allinto consideration this year as we work on our breeding so that I canfocus our efforts on fewer colors.

I'm going to try to share some photos for those who may not know what the colors are:

Blue Eyed White

Chinchilla

Chocolate

Chocolate otter

Sorry - I don't have a picture right now...

Frosted Pearl

Siamese Sable

Make sure to vote on the COLORS and not what the lionhead looks like for body type, mane, etc.

I voted Blue Eyed White. Gorgeous, I'd def. pick one of those.

:bunnydance:I love those little lionheads, I had never even heard of them til this forum.

Blue Eyed White. I think they are so pretty! IfI had to choose based on colour, I would be taking home the blue eyedwhite in a heart beat.

I also have a soft spot for the chinchilla.

Hi, I had to choose Siamese Sable I just love that color. Of course I am mommy to one named Brazil

Of course I breed for brokens, charlies andREWS:rabbithopI now they are not COD but I justlove the look of them, and there fur for some reason never seems to begroomed as much as the solids it must be something in thegenes. I do however get to show AOV. I am tring towork on getting a charlie the color of a REW and that I would beable toshow COD.

Maybe one day the brokens will be recognized :party0002:

That would be so nice.

Unfortunately, brokens can't get passed for color until the solidversion of that color has passed..so right now - broken torts are theonly thing that could be put on a certificate (and then only once tortactually passes - if it does).

I thought about trying for a certificate in brokens - but that is sotough. Every rabbit must have the butterfly on the nose, be nearperfect, etc. - and be related I think (the juniors must come from theseniors).

That's a pretty tough thing to do...

These are what I chose, black otter, blue eyed white, frosted pearl, and siamese sable.

Personal fave colors are Frosted Pearl and Siamese Sable. Iwant the blue eyed white for myself. I think they are so lovely.

Why do you think I want a blue eyed white?
