Hi! I have a 2.5 pound Holland lop called Willow. She has a permanent head tilt from a bad case of E. cunniculi. I know rabbits are social animals, so I am trying to figure out if a friend is a good option for her. We don’t feel comfortable having her spayed, with her condition. I have a pair of unspayed sisters who get along with eachother just fine, but won’t tolerate any bunny else. I am wondering if Willow would be better off on her own, or trying to get a companion?
she was a bit territorial before, she’s a bit more timid now with her head tilt though doesn’t show any signs of discomfort

*she was treated for E. cunniculi, she saw a vet, the head tilt is just permanent

I found a very sad fuzzy lop male locally, he’s a 12 week old someone surrendered with his brother to the pet store. The brother went to a new home yesterday they said. I would of course get him neutered. But just wanting to see if it’s even a good idea before I call tomorrow like “hey can you hold him for me?”

Since she hasn’t been spayed there is no way to know if they will get along. I would wait to adopt him after he has been neutered and after his hormones have settled (8 weeks after the surgery). Most places will allow you to take Willow to meet the adoptable rabbits so you adopt the one who gets along with her the best. If this place would allow you to do that, you would be able to introduce them before adopting him. That way if they don’t get along, you don’t have to house another rabbit separately, or give him back to the rescue.
