Me and my bunnies prefer bowls. I think they drink more if they have a bowl, but one downside is you have to change it ALOT more.

The 2x2x2 is perfect! I think the trade off between him being in the kitchen rather than having an extra cube is worth it. Plus, he gets run around time. I'm sure he will be super happy. Be sure to post pics when your done :D.

Also, just want to say that usually the smaller breeds are higher energy than the larger, so they need just as big of a cage for them to be able to run around and play. I guess it also depends on the rabbits personality, but alot of the big bunny's i've seen are very mellow and don't move...
