    Bunny cage smell?

Try putting trays in both spots he uses if he doesn't get that's what the toilet looks like than try other method or deterring him with something, remove his scent from the spots by rubbing it down with straight vinegar.

    Lavender: First time mum

You and I both! She's been resting and plonking herself down and moving around so restlessly and refusing to lay on anything but her side for the past two days. Poor thing, she seems so uncomfortable. It looks as though she's made a little circle in the corner of her cage where I buried a cat...

    Bunny cage smell?

Unfixed males have a tendency to smell like their territory marking urine. Wipe him over with a nappy wipe and when that dries over put dry shampoo and clean his cage, I usually with mine use pine bench top cleaner, urine remover and vinegar and rinse them thoroughly with hot/boiling water...

White inner ear wax - infection?

Jessamine one of my rabbits recently has a bad ear abscess operated on and she had whitish yellow ear wax so I would be taking the bun to the vet and that doesn't make sense? $100 every vet trip? First one for her consult was $39 for condition and the rest for ear drops and antibiotics and her...

    Lavender: First time mum

I thought I would make this post about one of my Dwarf Lop does first litter. As of today she hits her final week of pregnancy more foully mooded then we she began, scratching restless at her bedding even causing hay dust to make her sneeze! Little girl can't stop her rampage. She's bitten me...

Any help in finding answers is much appreciated

We're all like that, I'm so paranoid over my little ones. I check everyone for any signs of illness every single day. I agree, he's better drinking a lot than not drinking much or at all. Also I forgot about this but he could be drinking more because he's getting less watery foods.

    Been Awhile...

Here's some info I found: Encephalitis is a diseased condition characterized by inflammation of the brain. It may be accompanied by spinal cord and/or meningeal involvement. When the meningea is involved, the condition is clinically referred to as meningoencephalitis – which is literally a...

    Rabbit lump/tumor/possibly cancer

If it makes you feel any better I just found a massive lump on Daxtar my Sheba Mini Yak (Guinea pig) it has me worried with Jessamine recovering from an ear abscess, I just don't know when I'll have the money to get him to the vet and by then, depending on what it is it might be too late. My...

    Possible Second Pregnancy?

I wouldn't expect much more than that. They usually are, bunnies don't get given enough credit sometimes!

    Possible Second Pregnancy?

I would be expecting some little ones soon! And pictures of them would be amazing! That's normally me and I can generally predict how many that are to be expect--well an estimate at least. How many did she have in her first? Usually that can determine how many she'll have it'll either be one...

Hey, AlmightyShortest I don't think you have much to worry about with your bun drinking so much water my buns have bouts of drinking three 500ml bottles a day (For those who have that type of bottle.) and others who go through 800ml bottles four times a day and most of them increase and...

    Unique rabbits

Loki my pretty black otter Dwarf Lop has three legs! This is a few months old taken the day he had the op (If you can see how dozy he looks, anaesthesia still had my warn off entirely.) he's improved greatly in the past few months, where he jumps up on the couch and has the no problems with...

    Possible Second Pregnancy?

I suppose with where it loosens up depend on the does, I have a few who only pull and have the loose fur on their stomachs and others that pull from their chest and nowhere else and I've even had does that pull so much hair out they get splotchy bald spots all over their belly, chest and dewlap...

    Possible Second Pregnancy?

Was it on her belly? Might you be able to send me a picture of how much you pull out with a slight tug? If it falls loosely without much effort and in clumps and it's only on her stomach area it does this chances are she's pregnant and due to have them but this can also occur in false pregnancy...

    Bad behavior

Palpating is literally--I couldn't find a better example--like martial arts it takes awhile to get it. It's not easy to master at all and rabbits know how to hide signs of pregnancy as in the wild "HEY, LOOK EASY TARGET!" I say wait it out, it's all you've got and keep them separated. If they...
