    Funny bunny Anecdotes.

Miss Dori has the nose of a hounddog! I was in the kitchen, at least 10 feet away from her cage, I started to eat a banana and she started going bonkers! When I finally gave her a little piece, you would swear she was about to have a heart attack from excitement, she was fiending so bad I...

When is a good time for a Husbun?

Well Dori is already spayed and she is over 1 year old. Unfortunately I live in a tiny apartment, so I wouldn't be able to house them separately. I was hoping that I could take her on some bunny dates and that she would find the perfect mate and they could live together right away, I wasn't...

When is a good time for a Husbun?

I've had my Dori since July. I feel like she's gotten accustomed to my apartment, even though she's been a naughty girl and chewed up the crud out of my carpet, LOL. She still doesnt like to be picked up, but she is happy laying at my feet having me give her a head and back massage with my feet...

How to handle an erratic bun

Thank you all for the advice. I think the first time I'll take her to the vet and ask if they can show me how they do it and maybe I can do it at home after that. She needs to go to the vet for a check-up anyway since she hasn't seen a vet since I adopted her ffrom the Humane Society back in July.

How to handle an erratic bun

Thank you all for your suggestions. I actually have done the towel thing, and when I pick her up and hold her, I hold her firmly but calmly and try to comfort her. But the entire time she is breathing super hard, and no matter how calm I am, she is just freaking out. On the floor, she'll come...

How to handle an erratic bun

So I got my Dori back in July. She is the queen of the house now, but one thing she has NOT gotten used to is being held. She does NOT like being picked up or held AT ALL. I mean, its a battle to even try and pick her up. She freaks out, she runs, and it takes a while to try and pick her up, and...

    Shedding Hair Machine!

Oh my goodness, I guess its shedding time for Dori, she is a shedding machine! Its funny because I can see these little patches of hair all over that just kinda stick out, and when you pull them they just come out in your hand. I had gotten her a soft cat brush, but for one it seems way too soft...

Wild Rats - a warning. *warning: graphic description*

I"m not sure if this has been asked already, but is there any reason why you can't keep your buns indoors? It just seems like that would solve alot of these problems if they were inside.

    New Toy!

Ohhh I saw that at Target on clearance! I thought about buying it, but didn't, I may just have to go back and get it. It did look like it might be fun, the only concern was the same as you with the chewing.

what do you use in your bun's litter tray?

I just use a litter box, a few layers of newspaper and hay. I change it everyday so I usually don't have the smell. I do notice though that if I go 2 days without changing it there is A LOT of poopy in there, Dori is 100% litter trained, so all her poopy and peepee always go in the litter box...

Did you pick your own name's or did your owner pick your names for you??

I didn't vote because I'm not in the choices :(. My daddy is the one that named me Dori, he said that Dori means 'drift' in Japanese. Apparently he's a big car guy and a big drifting fan, I dunno what that is, but he named me that. I still like my name though.

    Wet Bum

Thank you :). Her nail is actually fine, I looked at it yesterday and there is no infections or sign of soreness. I did notice that for the first time since she's been home with us, almost 2 months now, she peed outside her litter box on her blankie. So I was kind of confused with that one since...

    Wet Bum

Yea besides the wet bum all else is normal. She is jumping, playing, eating, peeing and pooping like normal. I noticed the wet bum night before yesterday, and a little bit again last night. I'm thinking maybe she's just spending too much time in her litterbox?
