Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue (EDIT: STOP THE NEGATIVITY!)

I have nothing to add really other than thank goodness for level headed people like Patti and Pipp! I'm so thankful this forum didn't just jump on the "Kristin is the spawn of Satan" band wagon. I used to believe the accusations against her rescue until I took a step back and really thought...

A Arrow or a Burning Candle? You decide

The first thing I saw was a burning candle. Very cool!

    Buying vs. Adopting

There is a big difference in the sense shelters and rescue want to stop adding to the already overpopulated numbers (hence the spaying/neutering before adoption) while breeders create more. However, I'm a firm believer that REPUTABLE breeders do not add to overpopulation. Irresponsible/Backyard...

    urgent question

Inner Ear Infection is a possibility and would cause loss of balance and even weight-loss. For her to lose weight her eating habits have to had changed in some way, I would think. Definitely have the vet check her ears for signs of infection.

Massive rabbit rescue in South Florida

I love the HRS but they can sometimes be too judgmental. It's hard for me to look at those rows of barren wire cages with sad looking faces, I'm glad they are empty now though! :bunny18

She ate some kind of painted or dyed material (photo inclosed)

One of my bunnies ate a portion off of a candle a while back. Worried me big time! The only thing you can do is prepare for an upset stomach and hope your preparation is not needed. I don't believe an E-Vet can do much unless she starts having symptoms. Watch poops closely, that she continues to...

Massive rabbit rescue in South Florida

Can I fly over and punch the breeder in the face? :grumpy: I'm thankful she had enough mercy to let the rabbits be saved.

    Rabbit nail abnormality?

Where did you get the bunny from? I had one that came from a very neglectful situation that had some nails like that.

    Constant Red/Rusty/Orange Urine?!

I guess I need to just go ahead and get a urine sample checked out.

    Constant Red/Rusty/Orange Urine?!

This drives me crazy! Felix, my 2 lb neutered Netherland Dwarf pretty much ALWAYS has Red/Rusty/Orange urine and I have no clue why. He doesn't eat enough veggies for it to be color pigment. He is on Purina Rabbit Chow Complete and Timothy Hay. He doesn't chew on any colored toys. He seems...

    Bailee's Buns in 2011

I think it's great you are going to foster the poor bun. :) Hopefully his condition and mental state isn't too bad.

    Growling at Feeding Time...

OakRidgeRabbits wrote: I completely agree with this post. I have found petting the territorial rabbits head while slightly holding it down (to keep them from charging) works great when feeding/removing items from the cage. It helps form a positive association with your hand being in the cage...

    Resued an injured stray cat

All went well with the neuter! His wound is actually caused from a severe case of fleas and the itching/biting. Thankfully Advantage is bringing him relief now. He likely has worms if he had that many fleas, so the rescue is going to take care of that for him too. We re-named him Salem. :)
