OK my husband bought me these wooden roses awhile back. I know the flower part is wood but I am not sure what the stems are made of. Wood or some kind of paper that was painted or dyed green. Well Fraggles got a hold of one (can't figure out how) and she eat all the green off one of the stems. Its completely bare and I have no idea when it happened. I found it on the floor about an hour ago. She seems totally fine, even playing with binkies and LOTS of thumping (but that is normal). So I don't know what to do now. Take her to the e-vet? What should I watch for? Am I over reacting? Anyway her is a photo of what she ate along side the uneaten one so you get the idea. She STRIPPED all the green material.

Can't tell from the picture what it is. Hopefully a cellulose product (paper) with soy ink. If so, she should be fine, but, keep a sharp eye for any changes.

It was most likely florists tape, oftin used for stuff like that, comes in a few different shades of green and what not, ive make fake flowers with that tape. Now I'm not sure if florists tape is safe or not, somebody else may have to field that one.

One of my bunnies ate a portion off of a candle a while back. Worried me big time! The only thing you can do is prepare for an upset stomach and hope your preparation is not needed. I don't believe an E-Vet can do much unless she starts having symptoms. Watch poops closely, that she continues to pass them and they look normal.

I think the part she ate probably was the florist tape. I agree with others, keep an eye on her and make sure that she stays away from those flowers :)
yes, I know how you feel. Duing Easter, Kimiko ate soap. Yes, soap ! My husband and I went to the shop and left Kimi with his parents. When we came back they told us that Kimi followed his mom to the bathroom while she was doing the laundry and the next thing she noticed was half soap was bitten. :( I was sooooo worried, couldn't sleep whole night. I kept checking Kimi every now and then, but she was okay. But I swear, that won't happen again :grumpy:

I hope your bunny is feeling alright still, if you haven't noticed symptoms in the first 12 hours you should be in the clear, but I'd keep a watch on your bunny for a couple of days anyway. Make sure she eats and drinks well to help pass it through her system.

One of my rabbits just ate part of their plastic little box and some stained wood on my deck stairs. They were alright thankfully, but I was so anxious until I knew they were in the clear. I just made sure my house was fully stocked in case I needed to put him on supportive care right away, but it never got to that.

Rabbits surprise me with the things they can eat. I had one a long time ago that used to jump onto my table during easter and eat the sour gummies I had in a dish for my family. All you can do is try and watch them carefully and keep toxic things in another room or out of the way. Ultimately it just takes a second for your rabbit to get into mischief.

I don't want to relax you so much that you're not prepared if something does go wrong, but I really think your bunny will be ok. I hope that everything works out you you and your bunny. Keep us posted.

Update: I think she is OK, seems pretty happy with herself today and no yucky poops. The flowers were on top of the entertainment center which is way to high for her to reach. I found the abused flower under the table that she takes her napes. It has a cloth over it that goes to the floor so she feels very secure and secluded under there. So I am guessing that the flower got knocked on the floor and she found it and took it under the table to "be alone with it". Which is what she does when she has treats or her chewys. But I think she is ok :) Thanks for all the support.
