I Love winter but I also hate it becuase of the bunnies.

The poor bunnies are stuck outside, I don't mind going out to them but it makes my job harder when its time to clean them out.

How on earth shall I do it today?

Usually I put them all out in the run, spray each hutch and litter tray with hose and scrub with disenfectant then rinse.

Then they dry in the sun, or the warm air.

But now, the grass is wet, the air is damp and its cold, I don't want to put the bunnies out becuase its cold and wet and if I do an it starts raining they will get wet becuase they dont have cages becuase they are in the process of cleaning.

Someone pleassseee help me :grumpy:

I hate winter.:grumpy: Having a rabbit and a horseis hard when the weather is rubbish and the days are so short.:rollseyes

Becca - what I do is have a rain cover for the run. Then you can put the bunnies out whatever the weather - just make sure to give them a nice box or something for them to sit in if the ground is wet.:)

idk on anything you can do, but i love winter:D! it's better for J too, it's a bit too hot in the summer for him to go out full time, but during the winter it's perfect for him:biggrin2:

Why can't you put them in the run? Just because the ground is wet. Dippy is an outdoor bunny anyway isn't he? I'm sure he'll be fine. I put Archie out every day and he lives indoors at night. He is absolutley fine! Its just water. Could you find a little box for them to hide in? What about one of those plastic storage boxes turned on its side? I have a little hidey house for them but Archie never uses it. See if you have a bike cover, or a piece of tarpaulin or anything big and flat and kinda waterproof and put it over one end of the run. I left Archie out in the run in the puring rain the other day by accident, and when I get him in his fur was wet but when I parted it it was completley dry, so I just rubbed him down.

As for the cages drying, you have a garage don't you? Pop em in there to dry! Or dry it down with a towel.

Why don't you keep them inside. I leave my rabbits inside. Plus it's safer they can't catch anything.
Well, I can't keep them inside.

I'm not allowed, otherwise I would of done ;)

Do you have like a shed or something you can put them in instead of their run while you clean their cage?

I hate winter too. It's so cold and I hate going outside to feed my rabbits because I get cold. Then I feel bad because they have to be in this cold all the time. One and half more years then I can move out then they can be inside with me.

Remember, the rabbits wont feel the cold like we do, step out of a warm heated house to a winter garden, you feel really cold, stay out for a few hours and you will be warm again - and they have a fur coat :p
