Why does my bunny bite me?

I have a 1 year old neutered holland lop mix. I've had him for 3 months now and he seems comfortable in my room. I let him run around for hours on end and he runs on my lap often too. I give him treats and toys, but when I try to pet him he grunts, runs away, or tried to bite me? Help

Where are you petting him? Some rabbits dont like to be petted on the head and back area. Most rabbits like to be petted on the back. I dont have more info :/. Just my response
