Why Are My Rabbits Going Crazy?

So We have three pens for our rabbits inside the rabbit house. We had our Mini Rex Doe with the young ones, two females, two males. Then we had her Our younger one by herself in another one. Then the biggest one we had our two flemish bucks. Well, we went in their one day and all the babies were huddled in our younger does house, breathing really hard, and they looked very scared. So we put them back, but I went in after and Our older doe was chasing them and trying to hump them! so we put them in with our younger one, and they have been doing fine, but recently they have been chasing eachother, trying to hump eachother! One baby is still only about a month old and only a quarter of the size of the older doe, with is her mom.

And last night, both the bucks were fighting, so all my rabbits were going crazy! So I put the babies in with the older doe again, and they seemed fine, but then she started chasing them, biting them, and trying to do the same thing! So I put her in with the flemish males, who are bigger than her, but she chased them and started humping my gray male! So I ended up having to put her in a temporary small cage, so she doesn't hurt any of them.

I know when they first meet they hump eachother, but she has been with asll of these rabbits, as she is bred by one of the flemishs.

So why is she doing this, and what should I do? Thanks.

Are all of your rabbits intact? You'll end up with more babies if this is the case and you are letting the male and female rabbits together.

Also two male intact rabbits is not good they will probably start fighting with each other and can really hurt each other. Fighting rabbits is not a pretty site.

I would suggest you separate them and get them fixed.

Honestly its really cruel to keep a bunch of rabbits together in close quarters especially a doe with kits and not have any of them fixed, sorry but if you don't know how to keep rabbits you should educate yourself or you shouldn't have them!!!!

well the thing is we breed them, and they used to not jump out of their pens, but recently it has just been the babies. We are starting to breed flemish's, so we bought a breeding pair but both of them are males! We have three feet high borders in between though, and tops on two of the cages, but they still jump out and get throught the tiny gaps!

It sounds like you need a better living facility for them all together. What you have now does not sound very safe from the description you gave. You should really look into completely enclosed quarters for all of them. Do you have a picture of your set up now that we can look at?

well I can go take a picture today but the thing is we put tops on the two of the pens which were intended for are males before we moved the outside but the supporters on the side of the house make it hard. I will take a picture for you guys to look at because it is the hardest to explain.

Ya the boards are gross so we are going to clean them, when we mad the males in here they made this gross mess, so I think its time to clean up.

As you can see their are gaps between the supporters where the rabbits jump out of.
