Hi Everyone!!

I’m so excited to finally say after 4 long months of separation and bonding dates, my two buns have FINALLY figured it out and have been living together in a pen for the past 4 days. I have not had to separate them, there has been no fighting, nipping, or aggression. On Friday night, they were chasing and trying to mount, but that subsided as of saturday morning. It has now been two days without any chasing or mounting. They have been cuddling together 24/7, mutually grooming, flopping together, and sharing litter boxes. I’ve even left them unsupervised for a couple hours. I have a couple questions from here, one being: when can I officially call them bonded? How long should they be together without conflict before calling them bonded? And lastly, How long should I wait before free roaming them in my room together? I don’t want anything to come between their bond :) I’m truly grateful to everyone who has responded to my threads on bonding and anyone who has helped!

As of right now, Cosmo is fully stretched out on his tummy and Luna is pressed up to him, flopped on her side. Does it sound like they’re bonded?

Do they share food and water?
Do they sleep together?
Are you 100% sure that they’d be okay if you left them alone for a few hours?
Do they pull hair?
Will they fight?

I took these off of another rabbit forum. I think once you are fully sure that they are fully safe and secure you can say they’re bonded. I wouldn’t want you to let them into your room and then they unbond (I guess that’s now a word). Best of luck!

Thanks so much! They do share food and water, they sleep together all day, I’m fairly confident I can leave them alone, They don’t pull hair, and they won’t fight :) Yesterday I left them in their ex pen all day together, and just checked on them once an hour. Every time I checked, they were sleeping together or in a litter box together. Thanks so much for your help!
