it is normal for them have almost bald spots? Curly, like Cookie Monster did, is shedding like mad since being neutered (about 2 weeks ago and at the same point Cookie did).
He does not act other wise sick, he more of a laid back guy since surgery but still hops all over, eats good and likes to be held by me.

It could be a molt, but it also might be mites or another medical condition. It its unusual for your bun, I'd have a vet check it out.

He was thoroughly check before his neuter and there are no mites.
Our other male did the same thing when he was neutered but not a bad. Or maybe Curly's seems worse because his fur is much shorter, like crushed velvet.

Stress is a molt inducer, so it's most likely just a bad molt. All rabbits molt differently. Sometimes, you can barely tell when it's happening- the coat just feels a bit stiffer and less healthy. Other times, they completely blow it and have bald spots over. So it is normal to be bald spots as long as you don't see any irritation that would indicate another health concern.

With a protein-rich diet, fur growth is pretty quick and a molt like this should be slowing down or over within about 8 weeks.
