Mine favorite restaurant is Olive Garden. I LOVE that place! I love their fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, their salad, their bread sticks and their Italian creme sodas.

What really got me to like salads is Olive Garden because I ate one and I LOVED it. I never taste a salad as good as theirs anywhere else.

So... What's your favorite restaurant?

Basically any steakhouse.

My actual favorite restaurant was called the Matterhorn Chef, but the chef retired and sold the building.

Other than that, I'm a big fan of Lawry's the Prime Rib (in Beverly Hills), Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Gallagher's Steakhouse (in the NYNY hotel in Vegas).

Lately I've been relegated to dining hall food and snacks in my room. I'd give anything for a good steak.

I am a Bennigans lover but only for thier Chicken Quesadillias , i love them!!!!!!!!! But they filed chapter something or other and most of them closed, the only ones that didnt close were the ones that were privately owned.

TGIFridays Jack Daniels steak!!!!!!!!!!!!! great now i am hungry  :p

missyscove- Ohh! You'd love the steak house here! It's a grill your own steak place. It's really neat!

Luvmyzoocrew- Oh that's a bummer that most of them closed. :?

An Indian food place called 'Happy Cuisine'. Its the place I've had so many birthdays, parties, many, many takeaways. The place my Dad had his stag night back in the eighties. Its very very cheesy, furry wallpaper and weird Indian music and fish-tanks, but the food is amazing and the people are lovely.

Sounds fun! :D Must be an old place. How long has it been in business?

This is off topic but, what does "Task Force Member" mean under your name, Fran?

Prescott Brewing Company, Hugo's, Gurley Street Grill, Red Robin, and Bill's Pizza :biggrin2:. All are locally owned except Red Robin.

Cherouso Pizza Barand Venice Cove Osteria they're both Italian owned and operated and the food is Bellisimo can you tell I like Italy:p

Since the Dawn of Time probably. Well since I've been able to eat a takeaway it has! They recently redecorated, and changed menus! That was weird.

Task Force, is cos I'm on the Task Force Team. I do the news. But I'm also there to help out with other stuff like competitions and stuff!

Probably Chili's but I also love this place called Penn Station Subs - I think they are only in Indiana and Ohio. They make really good Philly Cheesesteak subs - and the bread is amazing!

My husband and I eat a *lot* of ethnic food. We also prefer not to eat at chains. I couldn't possible choose just *one* favorite, though, so here are a list of the current favorites:

Holy Land Cafe: Middle Eastern and a little Greek, I am addicted to their lentil soup.
Seriously, sometimes I just HAVE to have that soup. Great falafel, too.
Samurai Teriyaki: Japanese. Great yaki soba noodle bowls.
Chen's Kitchen: A little hole-in-the wall Chinese place. The best hot and sour soup in town. This is our "usual" Chinese place.
The Thai Place: Excellent Thai food. Several locations, but I think they're locally
owned. I think this is the best Thai food in town.
Bo Ling's: Upscale Chinese. Several locations, but locally owned. We mostly go
there for the *fantabulous* dim sum.
The Jazz: This one actually is a chain, I think the original locations are in Texas. They
have the BEST Cajun I've had outside of New Orleans. I must admit, I always
order the same thing: Crawfish ettouffe and fried pickles. Yum!
Blue Koi: "Modern" Chinese. They have great won ton noodle soup.
Sakura: Sushi! The sushi bar has a little toy train that the plates are on, you just
grab what you like as it goes around, and then at the end your plates are counted
up. We go there a lot, so the sushi chefs will make us whatever we want at no
extra charge. Did I mention that I could eat my weight in sushi? It is true.
Masala's: A brand new Indian place, we ate their last night for the first time. So
good! The veggie samosas amazing.
For barbeque, there are a couple favorites. I'm in Kansas City, after all! I like Jack
Stack for a sit-down meal, Arthur Bryant's for take-out. (We go to the original
Arthur B's location, the dining area is apalling, but the food is SO GOOD.) I've been trying to cut back on eating meat, so we don't get barbeque much anymore.
J.Alexander's: Steak. Again, trying to cut back. It's also pricey, so it's a once a year
thing.

The one "big" chain that I eat at regularly is Chipotle. Can't get enough of those burrito bowls.

Looking over my list, it seems like we eat out a lot. Usually, once or maybe twice a week. Husband and I are sort of strange, we're more like roommates when it comes to groceries. He likes to eat the exact same thing for lunch and dinner all week, every week, but I prefer more variety. So we each buy our own groceries. I usually cook something nice on Sunday night for both of us, and he will take us out for dinner Saturday night. If we go out twice in a weekend, one of those will be lunch.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chinese food.

There is this amazing buffet in Olympia that I go to sometimes, it is called Best Buffet and has Japanese, Chinese and American foods. I love it! I am going to try and go there a lot when older, like every Friday, plus I can get take out! I just hope they don't go out of business!

And another one is Country Cousin justa bit south of where I am. It is a great little restuarant with an awesome gift shop!!

I forgot to mention Chipotle! I love that place.

I also love hole-in-the-wall type Mexican places.
I seriously miss real Mexican food.

When we were in San Francisco we went to the Daily Grill.... We didn't realise it was a chain at first until I remembered Jim D saying he was going there for his birthday a while ago and I knew he lived nowhere near lol! We went there twice though.... I know, in a city that size, we should have been able to find plenty of non-chain restaurants, and we did! We just loved that place. Nowhere in England will you find somewhere, let alone a chain restaurant that serves pretty much a whole brocoli 'tree' as a side veg!

The steak was amazing too... and the red skin mash! :D The first night we were there I had the steak salad, and I swear there were 2 whole lettuces on my plate! We made the mistake of ordering a starter each of onion rings and were pretty much full by the time our mains arrived! That taught us for the rest of the week, no more starters needed! :p

I'm really not sure what my favourite restaurant over here is.... there's a pub nearby that has an amazing menu, of proper pub-style food, but loads of fresh fish dishes too, called The Rose and Crown, that I love. And there's whatI guess you would call a 'Gastro Pub' about half an hour away called The Boar's Head that does the most amazing fillet steak medallions in peppercorn sauce.....

We're big fans of Pizza Express as well. I always have the same. Mozarella and tomato salad, and La Reine pizza with fresh tomato and extra mozarella. :D

Another of my Favourite places to eat is the Hilden Manor. Its a Beefeater chain. I used to be really crummy, but then the Manor caught fire and part of it burnt down. When they rebuilt it they made the restaurant all new, brand new menu and everything and now its AMAZING. We go there often on Sundays after I finish work. They do a lamb roast with everything, yorkshire puddings, stuffing, everything for £8!

That's not fair.... our local Beefeater is RUBBISH!! They'll have half the place empty, but tell you it's a 45min wait for a table. They take forever to serve, miss side orders, food is substandard and if you want a steak anything less than cremated you can think again!! We've been there several times, and always ended up writing a letter of complaint. They send us a voucher for a free meal, we go again, and it's rubbish, again! Lol...

And OMG am I hungry for lamb lol... Luckily I've got some marinating for me to cook :)
