Whats your bun's favorite healthy snack

What is your rabbits favorit (or top favorit) snack?

Is it the classic Carrot, or maybe the awesome Banana?

My rabbit loves bananas. He eats then right away (when no one is looking. He's a shy eater), but if he gets full and the banana slice turns a little brown he wont even tuch it.

So whats your buns favorit healthy snack?

Mine don't like healthy snacks

I must have tried at least 10 to 15 different fruits and veggies to no avail. It seems that if the food has any moisture, they won't go near it. They like dried fruits and go crazy for apple chips. I try to give these sparingly (a small piece of chip once every few days) because they're loaded with sugar. They go absolutely nuts for their apple chips and oatmeal anic:

Dandelions! I save alot of money on veggies. I used to give handful of veggies for breakfast, but now they get dandelion leaves with lashings of grass picked from the garden, they get veggies midday/early evening and then pellets at night.

Well mine get a small amount of pellets and a big bowl of veg twice a day, plus when they're in the garden they can eat all the grass they want etc... That's their regular diet...

But they do go crazy for some oats! Not too many, just a pinch in the palm of my hand, and all 4 bunnies will crowd round me eating them out of my hand lol.... Until I discovered these I was always a bit dismayed that other people's buns had special treats that they would run for, whilst mine didn't.... Oats saved the day I'm careful only to offer them a couple of times a week and in VERY small amounts though, so as not to upset them too much, and they can be quite fattening I think...

They also get a daily treat of fruit in their veg as well to share- sometimes banana, sometimes, apple, sometimes carrot, and sometimes pear. Sometimes, if they're really lucky, a small mix of both or more!

I recently discovered that my buns really love nectarines, and so do I!When I give them a piece, they take it andrun in circles frantically lookingfor a *safe* place to eat it.:biggrin2:
