Can someone tell me what bunnies like thebest. I hold my bunny, kiss him/her, let bunny run in thegrass, and I still don't know if that is what he/she likes todo. How long does it take for a bunny to get used toyou? Also, where does a bunny like to be pet the most...ears,body, head etc. Also, he/she sometimes bites me but not veryhard...does that mean that my bunny is mad at me? Thanks forall your help and this is a really great website for help with bunnies!!

You aren't doing anything wrong. I think yourbunny likes everything you do to make he/she happy. Your bunny willtake a week or two to really bond and like you a lot. If you want toyou can get a rabbit toy for your rabbit to play with. I use a nibbler. My rabbits love it. Also bunnies love when you pet them from their earsto their tail, but not their face or paws. he/she will love you nomatter what.

my bunnies like to be pet on their whiskers...in fact they kind of ask for it when they put their noses under myhand.... Cleos eyes roll back in her head when I rub her whiskers

You are doing some great things for yourbunny. He sounds like a happy guy. Those soft nipsare just his way of saying "I'm here" or of grooming you.Sampson does that all the time to me. In fact, that's how Ichose him from all his brothers. As for where to pet them,I'm going to agree with Cleo. Most of my buns like to havetheir bodies and ears rubbed. Although, Sampson likes to havehis nose rubbed. You are taking great care of your baby.

My bunnies sometimes nip at me when they want tobe put down, not hard, like you said, just enough to get myattention. They like it best when I lay in the floorand let them crawl all over me. My girls will only let me petthem on their backs, but my boy, Napoleon, begs me to stroke hischeeks. He leans in when I rub his face, like a cat!

My Pepper is a 2year old netherland dwarf and he is a playful bunny. When it comes topetting him ,he likes his body petted the best. I think when your bunnybit you it means he wants to be left alone. One time my Pepper bit me alittle, because I was trying to pick him up and he just wantedto be left alone. It was just that one time he did that and it wasn'tthat hard. It's his way of saying I wanna be left alone.

Sounds like you're doing all the right stuff.

I have 7 bunnies and each one is different, but the basics are the same.

As far as the nipping, mine will do that if they want attention, ifthey want to be left alone, if they need to poop or pee, if I smelllike food, if I smell like another bunnie, and sometimes out of anger(that would be my Binkie!).

I just read the article in the Rabbit magazine about bunnie massage. Ifound 2 places that ALL of my bunnies like to be rubbed. One is at thejoint of their upper and lower jaw, because they do so much chewingthis area tends to get tensed or stressed. The other spot was betweenthere shoulder blades, because they stand and/or dig enough to tense upthis area, as well. I get purring bunnies when I rub these spots.

Bunnies also like TREATS !! Treats work wonders when bonding with a bun.

My little guy loves to have his nose and facerubbed. In fact, the only places he doesn't like are his legs andbelly. When I rub right above his tail on his back, it's bunny kissestime. It's a strange reaction, he'll kiss whatever is in front of hisface when you pet him there.

I think rabbits are happy that you simply makean effort.Took me a little while to find hisfavorite spots to rub, treats he likes, andam still masteringthe language of lagomorphs, but he enjoys the attention andknows that his big clumsy 2 legged rabbit mommy loveshim. Even though she still can't wiggle her nose, hop, binky, or flopas good as he can.;) Iget showered with kisses and circled and followed everywhere by my lovebun, so I guess he's pretty happy. LOL

Mine love head pets! Every morning when I opentheir cages to feed them they stand up and wait for me to pet theirheads. Hef gets so into it he closes his eyes and stands with his frontfeet dangling off the floor! Sometimes he even pushes his head up intomy hand (I used to have a dog that did this).

YES!! Lots of head pets. Or they love to be pet between their eyes.

About toys, what one bunny might like another might not. I'veseen bunnies throw, chew, push and rattle toys. Mine like(light) baby rattles that they can pick up. They LOVE theirstraw mats. Plastic baby slinkies. Empty papertowel rolls, paper bags, pine cones...geez! I could go on andon. ;)

My Corky LOVES to have his face and cheeksrubbed..my new girl Oreo seems to as well...Homer does ok with it butseems to like between the eyes...they all the like rub behind the earsand pet anywhere else!

Mocha likes nose rubs, nose to tail pets, andbutt rubs. He loves it when I massage his back leg muscles! He pusheshis butt way up high into my hand- it looks pretty funny. He alsoglares at me if I stop. I just figured out all of this by watching howhe responds to me. If he moves away, then he didn't like how I waspetting him. He pushes his nose up to get it rubbed harder, too.
