With covid still being stressful and scary I thought it would be a good idea to start a little thread where we talk about what we love about our rabbits. You can share whatever you want, little facts, stories, pictures, etc etc.

I'll start.

What I love about Mab is how good she is, and how sweet she is. She's just a ball of light in the form of a rabbit and I'm so thankful for that. She has no problems when I check her stomach to see if she's having digestive problems, she let's me look at her teeth, she doesn't bite or nip. She gives me sweet little nudges, and runs around my feet. She likes to just be near me, and trusts me to walk around or behind her when she's flopped over... I am so glad she trusts me and feels safe with me, and I love how she puts her little face under my hand to tell me she wants to be pet. Anyway, she's the best and I love her so much.

I'd love to hear about your bun's if you'd like to share.

I literally joined this forum to share my love for my bun♡ This is Ellie. I walked into a local rescue in 2017 with my nieces just going to see the animals and immediately I saw this little fluffy butt laying down in a big clear cage. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and she looked SOO unphased and content. I loved her immediately. I went into the rescue with zero intent on getting ANY animal, let alone a rabbit & after being given adequate instructions on how to care for a rabbit; I walked out with one of the greatest little loves of my life. 💜 She binkies when I come home from work and will let me nap in her room for hours. She's my brave little girl who isn't afraid of my vacuum cleaner or my dogs. She gives me little kisses from time to time and loves circling my feet and begging for treats. She's the bun that'll throw the entire bowl if you try to feed her kale but will rush to the bowl like a savage for some romaine. She is my goofy little bun bun and I love her too much 💜💜💜🐇

I got Peneloppy back in February of this year and she has been my little ray of sunshine. What I love about Peneloppy is well everything! Where do I even start, first and foremost what I love about Peneloppy is that she warmed up to me within a few days of bonding and everytime I would leave my room and come back she would get so excited and start running around my feet with excitement, oinking and honking and when I’m feeling sad she would always come up to me and nudge at my hand for me to pet her. Or she would start binkying out of nowhere which makes me laugh because it’s just so adorable! I love how fearless and brave she is when she hears a dog barking out the window or an airplane she doesn’t even get scared which is a surprise. I also love how close her and I are whenever I am sitting on the floor brushing my hair or something she would flop right next to me and rest. She has been such an amazing bundle of joy in my life and I love her so much! 💕🐰

Trixie is a vocal bunny and the sounds that come from her are just too funny. When she is extremely relaxed, she will lay in one of her favorite corners and start making a "oinking/honking" noise, a sign of contentment if you will. She does it for a few seconds where I can get it on video and then she stops, licks the carpet (yes she's an odd one) and flops over.

I also love how excited she gets when I go to a box that I've made with all her stuff in it. Toys, pellets, chews, treats, etc. When she sees me walking towards it, she will start up her honks and run around in circles around me like a dog. Then she'll put her paw on me to let me know that she's ready for a treat.

I thought dogs were the biggest culprit for begging for treats, and then I got Ellie! 😂Bunnies are way too cute when they're begging for treats too... how can we only give them 1?! I would burst out loud if I heard my bun make an oinking noise😂😂 Trixie sounds so entertaining!

Ellie is quite the character! Isn't it so funny when they circle around your feet when they beg for treats?! 😂

Right?! Trixie is pretty darn spoiled. She has me AND my boyfriend giving her treats. She's like a child...if mom says no, ask dad instead! 😆

Took me long enough but I figured out how to upload videos LOL. Here's my little oinker! The video is a little dark (it was right before I had turned on the lights) and you may have to raise the volume up. In this video, it's almost like she caught herself oinking and says to herself"...shoot was I loud?"😂 I just love her so much!!

This is a wonderful thread and thank you! I brought Gomez Adams Graziani home a week and a half ago.

We have guinea pigs, hamsters, cats and 3 chihuahuas. Every single one of these babies have captured my heart and surprise me more every day. So we added our Holland Lop. He began our trip home from the breeder in the weirdest exchange I've ever had in an empty hotel parking lot at a safe distance because of the covid virus going on. We couldn't get a proper carrier in advance for low supplies here in this area of NY but we did have a box with a bed. My husband drove so I could keep the box and 5 month old bunny on my lap. I was afraid to hold him or even what to do. I have honestly never been near a rabbit before lol.

He snuggled up to me the ride home; even from the box, kept butting my hand with his nose and literally stole my heart.

We are learning as we go but he seems extremely comfortable and here at home. My guinea pigs do something called popcorning but I never thought bunnies do the same thing. He does this a lot but has a time at night when he pops all over the place in the living room, runs and plays with everything. He comes up constantly to push his nose against me and will stand up to look on the couch where the chihuahuas and I set together when we are in.

We have a pen we use outside for the guinea pigs to come out in groups when the weather is nice as is now and we bring Gomez out for his hour or so as well twice a day. He wasn't sure at first but now he plays all over the pen, nose butts each of the chihuahuas running outside the pen in the yard and will hop up excitedly when I call him or put my hand in (we stay out with each of the groups of small animals that are playing). He surprises me more every day and is showing us more of his affection and trust each day we wake up with his cute little self laying next to us or hopping near us. We have a full cage I built in the middle of the room with many upper doors to secure it when we are gone but he's been free roam almost constantly since his second day. We just love this very sweet little guy!IMG_1191 (1).JPGIMG-1121.jpgIMG_1224[1].JPGIMG_1199[1].JPGIMG-1111.jpgIMG_1209[1].JPG

That's one of my favorite thing with rabbits - when they're so excited and they run circles around you. They are JUST like dogs sometimes lol!

It’s so true lol! Like when she runs around or begs for treat and when she flops sometimes I’m like maybe she’s a rabbit but is a inner puppy inside lol!

Too true! Some of ours remind me of our dogs. Cosmo runs around the room carrying stuff, grooms our legs constantly and wants attention--180 degree difference from when we first picked him up.

I've had Precious for almost three years now. She's a dwarf mix rescue. She is probably one of the smartest bunnies I've encountered (had ten other bunnies total throughout my life) along with one of the sweetest. She LOVES attention. It's just me and my husband so she gets plenty of it. She puts herself to bed every night, does the "litterbox dance" in her litterbox and shakes her head in the morning because she's so excited to see me and be released out of her cage after being petted and fed. My husband adores her and even trained her to come running for some petting by either calling her or making a silly gesture. She's assertive too--will thump and stare at you if you don't let her out of her cage when she wants.

Somehow, she understands a certain guinea pig squeak means there is banana to be eaten and she will come running and standing for that as well. She's soooo trusting; she will allow me to pick her up without a struggle, will sit quietly in my lap and let me groom her or trim her nails, and she just seems to trust me to do anything I need to with her. I could not imagine my life without a bunny in it and she keeps me company on my many days home alone.
Such a sweetheart, and she looks like one too!

What a wonderful little happenstance getting her! She does sound brave, I can't believe she's not scared of the vacuum or your dogs.

I love Gomez's little sock paw! That's great that he's already so comfortable and is becoming more so everyday. Sounds like you've got a lot of great years to look forward to with him!

What's the story behind his name? He's so perfect!

We had about a week to prepare for him after we found him. I'm part of a halloween group on fb and posted his primary photo there. They came up with some great vampire names; you can't see so well but he has one very blue eye and one 'marble' eye so there were a lot of underworld and 'Lestats' lol. But Gomez struck a chord when I looked at him.

I told my daughter and her husband-the first response was 'Selena gomez?' Ugh, NO! He was the 60's Gomez Adams through and through to me so I said to my other daughter (who was laughing her fool head off at my face to that reference) 'This little dude will have the full Graziani name lol (our last name). So he is officially dubbed Gomez Adams Graziani lol. My mother's day present was an Adams family sign from my younger daughter for his cage lol.

This thread is so cute my goodness 😍 I love hearing about everyone's buns.

For my babies, I have different reasons to love them. Their personalities are so unique and it's funny to watch them do silly bun things. Skippy does zoomies like a pit bull. She runs and tornadoes all around the living room when she's excited, in addition to extremely high binkies that are so cute to watch. I wish I had video to share with you.

Quinn isn't necessarily calmer, but I have had her since she was very young, so she's just my little cuddle bug. I can lay with her on my bed and she'll snuggle in beside me for pets, and even when she's irritated with me holding her or being nippy, she's still my sweet girl.

Overall, raising bunnies was not what I thought it'd be. It's a freakin' ride, and an experience that I was not prepared for. But I'm glad I have them. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
