Wow there's some unique names out there haha. At my primary there were LOTS of kids by two parents who were sisters and they had all the seasons so Summer, WInter, Autumn and Spring. then they had bird NZ bird names Kaka, Kea, Tui and some more I cannot remember some of them are quite nice names but some were a tad freaky.

I was listening to the radio with dad and it was doing weird names that had been used in NZ, there was twins that were born and called Ceaserean and Section, Benson and Hedges, Fish and Chips and Strawberry and Cream. There was Talula who does the hula in Hawaii and some people wanted to call there kids 4 real and 4 sure but you can't use numerals so they called him superman!

Okay, we have some strange names in my family.

My cousin (who's black) named her son Casper Rain!

My aunt (who's husband is black) named one of her sons Simian, in case you don't know by definition Simian means monkey-like!

Her other sons name is Jedidiah, they call him Jedi for short.

None of these kids are in school yet, thank god.

One of my moms best friend's name is Crystal Castle in the Sky, she goes by just Crystal though.

Adolf hitler is better then Seymoore Butts...

I dont get it, if a serial raper was named "John Thomas" does that mean we shoudnt call a child John Thomas?!

What a name to shout over the park "OI, adolf! adolf! ADOLF HITLER YOU GET HERE RIGHT NOW MISTER :X "lol.

Last year I had a Cathartis in my class.

This year I have

Shakeria, Jamelah, Quandre, Dionna, Athena, Chanel, Darius, Jovan, Amauri

I think their parents think there are prizes for the most original name. All I can think of is how disappointed these kids are when they look for stickers, pencils, mugs and such with preprinted names on them. :p

That is so creative! I love it! :)

That poor kid though. :( I feel sorry for him.

I know of a middle schooler in my school district who's name is Jesus. From what I've seen, I take he's pretty popular...but that's just what I see from pictures and everyone talking about. lol.

Wow that's crazy lol. Poor kids....I think that the name Margarita is ok for a child (I myself don't like it though), but Champagne and Tequila? Champagne is more of a pet name :p, and Tequila....well why would you name anything that? lol.

When I went to college, there was a student in my class who had an odd name. So did her two brothers. Their last name was "Rabbit". I don't remember the spelling, but that was how you said it. Her name was Bunny, and her brothers were Peter and Jack. No lie.

Are you serious!?! Lol. That's insane! haha. :biggrin2:

I remember everyone asking her if her name was "Bonnie". Nope, it was Bunny. I can see where that would be a cute name for a kid, but how does that look on a resume? At least she can change her last name down the line.

I feel bad for my nephew just because his last name is Gomez. I don't know why I think that name is so funny...

Oh my lord those poor children, I mean imagine being a mature working person and your boss calls out "oi bunny rabbit, in my office now!" I couldn't take them seriously lol.

I would feel for the guy/girl that has to shout that lol. :p

I've known a few girls named Bunny. It was almost always short for something else, though. I knew a Bernice, and a Beatrix (named after Potter, maybe)?

There was a kid in our church group (when I was forced to go) who's last name was "Buttslaff". They way they pronounced it, it sounded like "butt-sloth". Poor guy. Can't even get married and change that unfortunate name. I also knew a Snodgrass. Some people should just change their last names...

The name Adolf Hitler shouldnt define anyone with that name just because of the infamous person who had that name, i do feel sorry for this child that his name is going to always be assoc iated with the historic Adolf Hitler. I feel sorry when he gets to be a teenager and is trying to get a job. I dont agree that the store shouldnt have written his name on the cake but the Symbol that they wanted on the cake i think was inappropriate , i think they should have offered to put the name but not the symbol. Unfortunately no matter how disliked the name is , it is still the childs legal name.

I do think they had the right to say no to that request. I don't think they had to put the whole name on there, either. The parents should know why the name is offensive, and should have just had them write on "Happy Birthday Adolf". There was no reason to have his full name on the cake. How many families actually put their whole kid's name on their cake? I've seen it as a communion or even at a baby shower after the child was born, but a birthday cake? It's almost like they wanted to get turned down for the media attention. That's my opinion.
