We finally got our rabbit  I was just browsing the Toronto Humane Societies website the other day and just happend to come across her picture. We decided to go look at her the very next day. We fell in love with her instantly and adopted her

Meet Lupa!!! She's a purebred Lionhead and is about a year old :) Also if the picture doesnt work someone tell me how to do it because I've been trying to figure it out for like an hour lol

Aww congrats she is adorable. But I'm a bit partial to black lionheads :) haha....

I did notice you are using bedding. Just a tip, that will stick to her fur and make a MESS! Is she litter trained? Agnes is litter trained and so we only use baby blankets, no bedding.

Congrats again on your new baby! :)

I'm head over heals in love already lol. I've already noticed its sticking to her like mad lol! I'm not totally sure if she is liter trained....we think she is and once we know for sure we will probably switch to blankets. Thanks for the tip!

If she's not litter trained, start now! I couldn't imagine having a bun that's nott? She will need free run out of her cage and you don't want her peeing and pooping everywhere. Find the corner in her cage she likes and put a litterbox there. Most buns pick up on that fairly well. :)

Already done :D Is it ok to have hay in the litter box? That was how they had it at the humane society but I just want to make sure

As far as I understand, hay in the litter box actually encourages them to use it... I keep hay in mine. I think it also helps keep her little feet off of the wet litter.

Welcome to the friendliest bunny forum ever!

Definitely put hay in the litter box! It encourages the eating of hay and pooping in the litterbox, both good rabbit habits! :D I have a black lionhead (mix) too! Everyone loves a lionhead!

I think I'm hooked on lion heads lol. She's already using the litter box perfectly! I'll probably wait another day or two just to make sure and then take the bedding out and replace it with blankets so her fur doesn't get all messy lol

Oh wait I lied. I found some poop in her sitting corner when I got up this morning. Looked to be either wet and she sat in it or it was diarrhea. I cleaned it up in her cage but it felt like there was some on her bum...I don't know how to clean it without taking her out of the cage because she wont come out on her own yet:?
