Weird red eye pregnant and nursing bun ~ help

So before starting here I would just like to say I don't breed my bun ~ she is currently being looked after by a friend with multiple buns and she is a master escape artist and I didn't get her spayed as I only had girls / am planning on it as soon as I have her back so pls no hate ~

So my beautiful bun has 3 1/2 week Kits and is apparently pretty pregnant with another litter but she has this weird thang going on with her eye. Not too sure if it might be stress/light sensitivy but can't really get to the vet for a bit 😱 I attached a photo of it so yous can see. Could it be because she is obvz under heaps of stress atm / she is currently in new environment too so she doesn't accidentally have any more babes too.

From that picture, it looks like a prolapse of the Harderian gland, which does require surgery to fix. So your rabbit will need to be seen by a good rabbit vet right away.

Vet now. It's not the kind of thing that stress can cause. It might be due to something getting into her eye and getting infected, but I quite agree with JBun's assessment. Bottom line is, that doesn't look good and it certainly won't get better on its own. Eyes problem and infections can go downhill quite fast, so I really wouldn't wait to have her examined. It's probably painful too.
