Sugar lost 11g and Daddy 105g. Why such a big difference? Why lose weight in the first place??

My buns are free to roam in my roombut recently they've been naughty(peeing outside litter box) so I put them back in the cage for 2 days. Now they are out and about again.

Could it be the "lock up" that's the stressor?

It probably is stress but it could be teeth issues in both of them although it seems sort of too coincidental that it would occur at the same time. I would keep weighing them regularly after they are out of the cage to see if they lose more or gain more.

I don't think it's the teeth. I just weighed them and both gained weight.. :)good news I think..

Don't rule out the possibility of worms. Parasites do have life cycles and you might see some odd things during the different parts of their life....unexplained weight loss followed by gain as the worms hatch, obtain their goal in life by laying millions of eggs and then they die...and then the cycle repeats as the next generation of worms mature....is only one of the many issues that worms can cause. We have had light bouts of stasis, hair loss, itching....and other different things. And remember that worms are very resourceful on gaining entry....food, greens, water and even us especially on our shoes.
