So we have had miss Lola a little over a year now and on all the sites it says its good for them to have a companion. well recently we decided that we wanted to get one for her, but when i posted an add for another bunny i got a few emails from people saying it is very risky to get another one now.

so i am confused. we really want another bunny for her but dont want to put her or the other bunny in any risk.

can i get some advise on what people think i should do, or any experiencs people have had with this.

thank you!

I had Korr for almost a year when I got Sophie for him. They bonded fairly easily and I didn't have issues with it.

As long as she is spayed and healed and generally healthy, there really shouldn't be much risk. The other bunny should also be fixed and healthy before you start bonding them.

You can never tell. None of my 4 were bonded, then two bonded. Then they unbonded. Now I have two other ones that are bonded, two males. I wish they would all bond together but no luck.

I had Loki two years before I got Lily. He still loves me more than her but it has created a weird love triangle because she hates me. haha!

thank you all for yur repsonces.. Lola is not fixed yet. about how much money is it to get a rabbit spayed or nutered?

Every Vet clinic charges different rates. u need to do a bit of research to see which vet is rabbit savy. When I did my research I received quotes from 120.00 to 350.00 Good Luck

oh ok. we definetly want what is best for her and i have been told that getting it done is what is best. I just really dont want it to change her for the worst. she is such a good girl right now and soo friendly.

I can see how u feel huni, the only thought that I have is that if u do want another bun...which u will :) having her spayed is the way to go for bonding.

yea!!! you cant just have one. or so i have heard. i went to the humane society in St Cloud mn 2 days ago and there was this BEAUTIFUL boy named dudley. he was soo pretty and such a good boy. It was so hard to walk away from him. i wanted to get him so bad.. i still really want him.

and denise i know!! he was sooo sweet to! i still think i might go back and get him! It was kinda love at first site. i always check up on him. nerdy i know! lol and i guess that is kinda close lol i go to school up in st cloud. i am from lakeville mn.

Lakeville...thats only an hour and a half away from me. we need to go to lunch in Rochester one day :)

Heres a thought u could let the HS in St Cloud know u want him but Lola isnt spayed, u could see if they will have there vet do it for u and it might cost less too. and maybe they might do a payment plan its worth the call ya know

Yea. someone else mentioned that to me to. They usually do it cheaper there anyway.
