Waxy ear?

I was checking peps and fluffs ears today Fluffs are clean but when i was looking at peps i changed the angle i looked into her ear and theres a small amount of waxy build up in it. Is there anything I can do for her? and what is this usually caused by?shes of to the vet on saturday about her scab which doesnt seem to be healing so he can look at it then, but in the mean timeanyone have any advice?

I honestly wouldn't do anything until you see the vet. You want the vet to see it in its natural state in case it's something other than wax, however unlikely. And Saturday is pretty close!

I agree. If you are seeing the vet on Saturday, leave it alone til then. Is she shaking her head, especially after you pet her ears? Is she scratching them a lot? If so, make sure you let the vet know. Could be nothing. If she does have ear mites, Fluffs ears should be checked too.

The scab could be fur mites too...

She doesnt seem irritated by her ears I havent witnessed anything but im keeping a close eye on her now. My vet seems to know quite alot about buns in the UK he said he saw 80% rabbits so I would think hes pretty clued up he holds them properly and answers most of my questions if not he'll try find the answer for me :-D. The nearest atctual rabbit savvylabeled vet if theres one in chch is about a 6hour drive if not there then a plane flight to Auckland. for her scab on her foot i think its from her dragging her feet. the nail looks twisted her toes are like jelly feeling sort of um floppy and that so maybe thats why her nails twisted..I'll ask the vet when im there.

Sorry didnt reply as soon as got back the computer packed a poo. So the vet said shes completly fine no ear mites or that he took a bit of wax out as he said it was a bit thick but other than that shes sweet he took a sample of the wax aswell just to checkthat it was regular ear wax and it was. For her scab he said thats from dragging her feet and as the skins quite dry on her toe to put some vaseline on it so it has the chance to heal quicker.

I know i was really worried mum said im a pedantic lol. While i was there i asked about getting pep spayed he said she would be safer not getting it done due to her legs and that spayed buns also tend to gain a bit of weight after and this could be quite hazardous for her, so that was good knowing that so that ment i had some money so went to the pet store to get the some toys and treats but they already had all they had to offer lol.
