Ya thats exactly what I was thinking :) I dont show buns but like going to them...then maybe I could learn something too.

THX...BTW what is your real name, and what do u show and how many???

my name is sheila

I show

French lops
American fuzzy lops
lionheads

I just have a few of each. I just got into the showing/rabbit world this spring so I am learning so much but I just love going to the shows and seeing all the different breeds. People are also very helpful and really a great crowd to spend a day with.

Let me know if you are going to the owatonna show I know it isn't too far from winona.

WOW sheila love to breeds u show, and Owatanna is about 65 miles from here. I will let u know 4 sure!!!

(U should put ur name on ur profile..I forget a lot;) )

i loved valentine so that is his new name!!! thanks it suits him so well

I had a pair of velveteens not too long ago, black doe and a blue tort buck, Cater and Ears. they are such sweeties, i've never had a rabbit that was that sweet and mellow good luck withhim! i've only heard they are very hard to bred, i had no luck but we could have sworn Ears was gay or something was not interested in does

I have heard that as well about breeding. Not sure when I'll get a doe maybe next spring my husband is shaking his head about all my rabbits and I don't have that many!!! At least with the buck I don't have to worry about getting him breed by a certain time like a doe.

is it just me or who else can't go to a show without coming home with another rabbit???
Oh, my dear...it is not just you...check out my hubby's blog, Wabbitdad's Wabbitherd. There are SEVERAL stories of his impulse purchases at shows! The most recent is our Daisy, an adorable E-Lop, whom he acquired 2 weeks ago.

He frets and moans, "we need to reduce our herd!"....I say, yeah, right! Because, I know that he will bring home a new bun at every opportunity.:p

HAHAHA! Dave reminds me of a friend of mine. I used to tell my friend breeders know a sucker when they see one. Eh the both bring back pretty bunnies for me to see and not care for. ;)

I can not come home from a show without at least one new rabbit. The same thing happened to me with my fuzzy lops I went to get one and came home with four the breeder was cutting down too.
